  1. Glad to hear things are going well.
  2. Oh I knew this was around somewhere..... more photos from the Nissan Warehouse in Japan (VERY pic heavey though), just scroll down the page a bit and you'll find the R390 GT1 http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2079707
  3. Wiki page... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_R390
  4. oooppssss indeed
  5. So you've got to turn the volume up, so you can hear the..... BIG BADDA BOOM!
  6. Well I've just splashed out on another one....... The Fifth Element on Blu Ray One for all you Milla fans out there  According to all the write-ups this is superb on Blu Ray, especially the Remastered version. So I went for it, but it's apparently not available here in the UK  and most of the imports seem to be about £18+. I've just picked this one up from http://www.dvdworldusa.com, which is a UK based company that import US titles, for £10.99 which is fine as long as they are Region Free ones, and you can check that here.. http://regionfreemovies.com/
  7. I don't know what you mean....... :sneaky2:
  8. Thanks for the suggestions guys, always appreciated. As for Avatar I have seen it on DVD and was impressed with the quality and I'm sure it would be a lot better in HD, then I'm sure it'll be even better once they bring out a 3D version for 3D TV's (Not that I'm upgrading to one of those just yet) I'm considering the Resident Evil films on Blu Ray. Oh and if anyone likes these films and may be considering pre-ordering a copy of Afterlife from eBay... DON'T BOTHER!!! VERY overpriced, instead take a look on Amazon and pre-order on there, as they are currently £10 cheaper and guarantee to give you the price you pre-order at or lower!
  9. Do I detect that you didn't like it then? ;)
  10. Is this right? As I'd of thought that it's in the transfer from the original film reel. As the majority of movie's are filmed on celluloid and then transferred to DVD or Blu Ray I can't see how the age would make a difference. Obviously it would be down to the quality of the original. You could be right though, I'm not sure either way :D
  11. I've decided to buy myself a Blu Ray player, so was looking through all the options and whether I could justify spending the money. Anyway I decided to buy a drive for the PC, as I have an HDMI hook up to the TV so can watch movies on the big screen. I also decided to go for a combined Blu Ray / HD DVD drive as you can often pick up cheap HD DVD's and you're getting the same quality. Then in the end I succumbed to a Blu Ray reader/writer with HD DVD read facility, which I consider the best of all worlds. So it's all hooked up with full 1080P HD to the TV and I'm impressed so far. I've managed to obtain a few discs of my fave films so far. I've got hold of Blade Runner (Final Cut)(My fave film of all time) on HD DVD for £4.50, Dark City (My second fave film of all time) on Blu Ray for £5.50 and V For Vendetta on HD DVD for only £1.99! I wont be buying all that many as I think I can only justify buying them if I believe they are visually stunning enough to bother, especially if I already have them on DVD. I think Gladiator could very well be next on the list :D Anyone else recommend a really good visually stunning film that is worth buying in HD? I realise that all three that I've got are quite dark films, so the HD quality doesn't show through as much as it will in Gladiator for instance.
  12. This should be of use to you.... Buyers Guide HTH Dave
  13. Except that the letter Z was never available on the older style plate in the UK
  14. Check out the sellers web site for other stuff.... WOW!
  15. Yeah not keen on those bumpers either, 260Z ones would look a hell of a lot better. I've even got the genuine owners and workshop manuals for these, both 1975 as I was looking at buying an import a few years back. Never happend though. In fact Steve you probably know the guy who was selling it, SeanDezart
  16. Nope! I know what I saw ;)
  17. Well, she would!! ;) **EDIT** WTF happened there?
  18. I like the 280ZX, but not in the 2+2. In fact the only 2+2 that looks good is our own Z32 :D The one I love out of all of the earlier Zeds is the US only version 280Z (NOT ZX). It looks exactly the same as the 260, except it's got the 2.8 ltr engine as opposed to the 2.6
  19. Something like this?.............. http://www.vildinimotorsport.com/gallery/shawrb25240z.html
  20. So anyone fancy an older zed?..... How about a 240Z? Only £12,500.00!! But has just been restored :D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Datsun-240Z-/320595990999?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4aa50299d7 And a little more for this one.... £16,995  (Don't actually like it either!) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1973-M-Datsun-240Z-Immaculate-Condition-PETROL-MANUAL-/120625465401?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c15d68839 Or even 260Z... Starting off quite a bit cheaper here :D A 2+2 ( :hurl: ) currently at £578 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1978-DATSUN-260Z-2-2-ORANGE-/220684665681?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3361d4c351 Or another 2+2 ( :hurl: ) starting off at £1000 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1974-DATSUN-260Z-2-2-BLUE-/170553653898?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27b5ca3a8a Or how about a rolling shell for £1500, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/datsun-240-260z-rolling-shell-/280577120026?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4153b3171a Or even a nice condition one for £3850 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Datsun-260Z-1975-2-6-/160495396331?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item255e4565eb The 280ZX is another contender.... A 2+2 ( :hurl: ) in gold for £560 (currently)........ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1980-DATSUN-280-ZX-AUTO-GOLD-/110598345203?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item19c02cd1f3
  21. Eliza used to have FLZ 2300 on it (well it may still have as I don't know what's actually happened to it). It was on when I bought her. Shame :(
  22. Nice to see it's almost done..... but get that RNS tyre replaced before you drive it, as I'd hate to see the Facebook status of "Whoops!" ;)
  23. Your arse end is looking nice Dave!! ;)
  24. I wrote this last time this subject came up....... But I've got to say that my current Alfa Romeo 156 is getting very close to being my fave (after Eliza obviousley!;) )
  25. I don't think there ever was a make on the brace, I got it from some place in the US via ebay. I've just been looking for a decent photo of the brace, but can't find one. The rear panel didn't work when I received it, so I just 'twiddled' the inverter a bit and it came on, so it could just be that, after all it has been stood a long time.
