Yep another well organised Midlands meet :bow: Well done Dave. Yeah, we just got back to Karens when the 'blizzard' started, so had to shelter in the car for a few mins for it to die-down a little. I'll post some pics up, just as soon as I'm not doing other 'PC power hungry' operations (can't say what I'm doing, as it's probably illegal (as usual!!)) Spot-on, was virtually anyway, it was the TPS connector. Played with it (in fact actually just touched it) and it's been running fine since. So I'll be buying a new connector as soon as.

But that's my whole point, it doesn't meet both of those requirements though! Because there is nothing stopping you fitting a proper size front plate! Don't get me wrong, as it doesn't bother me at all, as I've been running around with mine on for just over three years now :D and I'll continue to, until I'm nicked for it, then, if I'm required to prove it, I'll put my old plate back on..... And then i'll put the small one back on again afterwards and carry on useing it :D :rofl:

For the last couple of weeks I've been experiencing an intermittent idle and gear change problem.... let me explain...., I first noticed that sometimes while waiting in traffic, I'd shift into 'N' while at traffic lights etc, and the revs would go up as far as 1.5, instead of the usual .8. Now this would be at full running temp and could occur either towards the start of a journey or even after quite a long one, and sometimes it would run properly altogether. At the start it was just this, then I noticed that i was starting to have trouble with the auto box taking longer to change up. Now it did this at the same time as the revs were high. Now it was starting to piss me off, until today, when i found the problem, which was................ Nah!!! :D Let's see if anyone came put their finger on it first :D

Well it states it right there on that link.... There is, and never has been, any question regarding the rear plate, it fits a hole. It's the front plate that will get you a fine!! Because there is NO restriction on you fitting a standard plate.

As you'll notice mine is far too small, with small letters. This IS illegal, but has still passed 2 MOT's without any problems at all. I've also passed numerous coppers without any problems ever!! :D As far as the info I found out before, if you can fit a standard UK size plate on the front, then you are supposed to do so. And you CAN fit one to either the 89 - 97 and 99 spec OEM bumpers. So be warned, it doesn't matter what you have written down, if it can be fitted properly, and you've got a smaller one fitted, then it is illegal!!

Open the Messenger window, but without logging in, then click your name and a drop down box will appear. From this box choose 'Appear Offline', then log in and choose BLOCK all the people you don't want to bother you, so allowing just the ones you want to talk to see that you are on-line!! :D HTH

Is it fully bolted in place? Have you tried swaping the units over? If you've not tried the above, then they could be faulty!!

Do you have some sort (or the original) of splash shield from below (above your FMIC) as well? The OEM one fitted to OEM bumpers is ideal, but most people seem to disgard it when they change the front bumper. It's only a cheap flexible piece of plastic, but does a really good job.

Well it's probably been cut because the solenoid doesn't work properly, and the key may of got stuck!! Hence the cut wire, can't really think of any other reason why someone would want to do this though :confused: At least you know now that you can reconnect it without any detriment to circuits etc. If it don't work, just cut it again :D
