Photo Shoot Of Your Zeds........
I'll be contacting the 'venue' on Monday to confirm for sure. I will be requesting, at the beginning of May, a deposit from all those taking part, this is to simply secure everyones spot, and so that members are less likely to 'drop-out' at the last minute, thus costing everyone else more money, if you see what I mean. I'm leaving this until the beginning of May so that if anyone else wants to join in I can divide the costs up between all the members attending (hopefully 20 of us) so hopefully by then I should have some idea of the full costs involved.

Photo Shoot Of Your Zeds........
Fantastic response, thank you very much. Right, we have a total of 17 members going to this (ones dropped out, which is a shame, but I do understand) Do we have another 3 members that would like to attend to make it a nice round 20? It is a very central location (apparently only a few miles away from the official centre of the UK!!), which is located near Tamworth. Also the date that has been agreed is Sunday 10th June. It includes indoor and outdoor locations and, of course, we have Stacy!! :D  There is also a possibility that we may even receive coverage from one of the leading UK Jap car mags, which will be fantastic if it can happen. Please let me know ASAP. All the best, and a very BIG thank you to all that have supported this so far. :) Dave

Excellent :D 7 out of 17 positive replies so far. Thank you people, keep up the good work. Dave PS- The sooner I have all of the replies, the sooner I can confirm that we will be attending, and the sooner I can confirm the total cost!!

Speedo stuck on Max speed ???
The 'Shrink Wrapped' item is the convertor. The un-plugged item is the 'Chime' As for the needle, as Geordie has stated, remove the front cover and 'GENTLY' push it back to it's proper position. Once it's past the 12 O'Clock position, it should fall to the 0 point with no trouble. If it doesn't, I'd say your clock is fooked! :D HTH Dave

For anyone who may be interested, we have a new location and a date in early June, so if you want to send me a PM, I can always add you to the list. :D

Photo Shoot Of Your Zeds........
Right, I've just been given a new location as a suggestion. It's quite central in the Midlands, and could fit the bill exactly. So I'll be pursuing this just as soon as I can (work permitting  ) Dave

Photo Shoot Of Your Zeds........
So far guys 'n gals, Matt (Stangman) has given some good suggestions, and I've asked him to chase some of them up, which he's doing at the moment. This may well put the shoot date back further into the summer, instead of late May/early June, but we'll see. After all, if it ends up being an outside shoot, then we may as well get as good weather as we can. The other reason why I suggested May/June, was so that the photo's could be ready early enough for a possible 2008 Club Calendar, but so far I've heard nothing from any of the clubs representatives, so i think that'll be out of the window. It did seem like a good idea, but then again, it wasn't suggested by certain members of the 'In crowd' so you can think as to whatever you want on that one!!

Sounds like you have the old one. Right Click the icon, and then Properties then to Compatibility. Click the Compatibility Mode check box, and open the drop down window, to see if one of the options is for Windows 2000. If not, then I'd say you've got the old version. If this is the case, send me a PM bud ;)

I do believe that the Rides section is going to be upgraded this weekend, and will be of a new format after that. So anything I could tell you now, will be a waste of time :D Anyway, the Edit Rides button is missing from your User CP options list, so it looks like it's already started!

Radio connection – help!
HI bud, Right a quick answer, as I've got to go to work soon...... 1st, the bottom socket is a standard Power ISO one, so your original should be OK for this(But see 2, below). You can check the connectors go to the right places by using the diag you've already downloaded, and tracing them back to the original cars loom. It is a simple job, so just take your time and do one at a time. 2nd, I believe that the middle socket is a standard Speaker ISO one, so a standard Speaker ISO plug will fit it, but I don' think you have one of these, as the other one is a row longer. You're best bet here is to nip into Halfords and buy an ISO adaptor loom section (it has the two ISO FEMALE plugs at one end, and bare wires the other, which are marked as to where they go), disconnect the ones you have at the moment, and fit the two new ones in their place. This way you'll know everything is correct. 3rd, as for the EARTH connectors........ The spade one will probably go into the loom and be joined to the wire for connector 8 on plug A at some point, once you fit a new Power ISO loom plug, you'll do away with this one.The other two, the one with the red crimp on has been fitted by a previous owner, and will go to something else that requires an Earth. The other one (with the black fibre tape round it) is the original 300ZX Earth wire. Just re-fit these two to the threaded bar, as per originally.

Radio connection – help!
With your new unit you should of received some paperwork (not just the instruction manual) In this you should have a wire code diagram. Do you? Also did you receive a wire loom section to go into this socket? If not, and (as seen in the pic) it's obviously a different type of connector to standard, then that's a pretty pour show on their part, and personally I'd of taken it back. As what you already had was a standard ISO connector, and almost all manufacturers use these. As for your separate 'Brown' plug, i take it you mean the large spade crimp? If so I'd say this is almost definitely an Earth connector. I've attached a Word document that shows you the wiring codes for the standard ISO connector, it might help you. Dave
