Any photographers in the club?
Thanks Darrell, I appreciate all of your input. To be honest I'm not at all keen on the idea of members taking their own photo's, as that wasn't the idea, and I can see it being VERY messy on the day. I'd rather keep this to someone who knows what they are doing, as in not only the photography, but also lighting and positioning of the cars, and most importantly how to use Stacy to the best advantage (no smutty comments please  ) As there is just over four weeks to go to the date, if I can't sort anything by this coming weekend, then I'll postpone it for now until we can sort something. Any photographers in the club?
Thanks Leigh, I didn't want to plaster it up bud (without your say-so), as it's your business and not my place to say ;) Hi Darrell, take a look at my sig, as all the details are there. If you wana talk, as above, PM or e-mail me and we can discuss it :D Dave As for the use of a professional photographer, I think I can safely say it'll price this whole event out of the equation altogether. It's been a real up-hill struggle just trying to get people even remotely interested, what with some dropping out and others not even responding to my PM's at all. Maybe if I'd been one of the 'in crowd' then there would of been no-end of names down, but as I'm not! It's a pity that none of the established 'show' cars are attending, and we've had no backing from any of the committee (except for the original thread being 'Stickied' in the first place, thank you Steve). But hey, it's your club, and this could still have attention from the press yet, that would of given extra coverage for the clubs profile. Anyway, that's enough from my soapbox :nono:

Any photographers in the club?
As title, do we have a keen amateur/semi-professional photographer within the Midlands area, that would like to do some photographic work with some members? :D If so, please contact me via PM or my e-mail address URGENTLY!!!! ("anubis4120@msn.com") Thank you Dave

As I'm Always Game For A Laugh........
A good friend of mine did this photoshop for me. Those of you that have seen me may of noticed that I have a passing resemblance to Rowan Atkinson (personally i think it's a very distant passing one ;) ) so she did this............. :D

chrome rings for the speedometer
I see you are in Germany, in that case go to http://www.dta-motorsport.com instead, that's the Dutch site, as Danny would put you intouch with them anyway. You'll find them under Styling, interior/accessories. They are 45 EUR. HTH Dave

strut brace arse
This might sound like a really stupid thing for me to say, but........ Why the hell do you need a strut brace on the rear, when you already have extra steelwork bracing from one side to the other in exactly the correct place?? ;) I thought the idea of a rear strut brace is to give extra strength to the rear strut towers (ie; same as for the front), but if you already have it, what's the point in putting another one in there? ;)

Fitted my indiglow dials
This'll work, but you'll get too much un-wanted light onto the boost and oil gauges. You'll need to take the gauge housing out and tape round the clear plastic section that emits light onto them. HTH Dave

lookie what me bought, do you think it will suit??
If it was only sold in the UK, arn't we still in Europe then? But saying that, I thought only lighting parts had to have an 'E' mark, surly this being a body part wouldn't have one in an country?!

Cdcovers.cc??????
Nope, PC is hard wired to the router!

Cdcovers.cc??????
Still doesn't work. Although, via my wireless connection through the same router, I can access all of the site on my laptop! Now that is strange. :(
-
Cdcovers.cc??????
Thanks for trying guys. Well I've just tried again and it's the same  I can't see why, as no other sites are running slow, and I'm on a 6meg connection so I should be fine. Does anyone know of another, equally good, site that does the same thing?

P***ed Off With Parcel Force!
Let me start at the beginning......... In the middle of January this year I decided to buy myself an in-car DVD player, which basically set me back £220, from Hong Kong. I received it all OK (eventually) and fitted it in Eliza. One week later the screen wouldn't open out, so I contacted the dealer and requested as to what should I do...... to cut a long story short we arranged to have it sent back to him for a replacement, which I did. I was charged £44 + £10 extra value insurance, to have it Tracked back to Hong Kong, by Parcel Force. I've since found out that the service I paid and asked for wasn't in fact trackable!!! (Fookin stupid numpty Post office tw@ ) So I was told to phone Parcel Force up and quote my tracking number to find out where it was........ Guess what??? ;) They've lost it!!! In fact not only have they lost it, they never had it on their computer to start with!! So I was advised by the lady I spoke to at Parcel Force (very helpful by the way) to go to the small Post Office I always use, make sure it wasn't still there (no chance as it's a small sub-post office) and if not then to obtain a claim form, fill it out and send it in. I did this last Monday. As you can probably guess, I've not heard anything yet, so I've just rang them up, to be told I'll be lucky to hear anything by the middle of next week!!!! Because they have a back-log of claims!! ;) Now THAT says something doesn't it? So currently I'm £275 out of pocket and nothing to show for it! You can probably gather why I'm a little pissed off! Now how much do you reckon I'll receive in compensation and how long do you reckon I'm going to have to wait to receive it, if at all??!!?? I'll keep this updated when, and if, I hear anything else ;)

Cdcovers.cc??????
Is anyone else having problems accessing this site? I get the top banner appear but then it takes ages for the rest of the page to show up. Even waiting all the time for the various pages to eventually show, all I get is a red X instead of any covers being displayed  This has only just happened this weekend, never had it before, this does not affect any other web page from loading, so I can't see it being a connection problem on my part. If anyone else would care to check, it would be appreciated  TY Dave http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers
