I wasnt there so its difficult for me to comment on the rolling road but in my oppinion it sounds like either the rr was faulty or someone was getting something very wrong, i find it very hard to believe that no one broke the 400 mark especially as there were some decent cars there  With regards to tuning nigel i agree thats why i said you have to sit down and decide just how far you want to go if 400 is fine then standard tubs will work but if your looking to go further then its going to be more cost effective to only take you engine out once and do everything rather than going to a certain stage and spend a decent amount of money then decide to go further and have the cost of taking the bits off again. 3. -2 this morning...bloddy freezin  should keep me warm
  4. Like your engine stu but i'm not sure about them dodgy red and green pipes

Hi Chris The next stage is how bigs your wallet?? It depends on how many horses you want if you want megga horses then you need to upgrade your intercoolers, turbos, fueling, pistons (talking point at the moment ;) ) improving the cooling of the car, braking (you want to stop i presume) de-catt pipe, boost controller and increased boost...cant think of anything else :D Like i say it all depends on how far you want to go if its just a reasonable amount then boost controller and new tubs to handle the extra PSI should break the 400 mark quite easily. Cheers Kirbz
  6. Well i've decided on my engine rebuild and its getting 20g tubs...sorry iain but i want her to have the most bhp around:cool: so its also NOS injection as well to compensate for the massive lag...mmm get goose bumps thinking about all that power :D So when i get my tubs off I will get them checked out and if there OK someone could have them for a very reasonable price...stu?? Just got to get the damm engine out first...start it when i get back from holiday. Kirbz
  7. I was gonna say if it was a 6r4 then you would stand no chance, in fact not much would, if i remember right they were taken off the market because they had a taking off the ground problem, not enough down force for the power :D mmm a flying metro maybe a new clay pigeon
  8. sounds like the same as mine :( if its blue smoking under idleing i think it might be the pcs's but if its blue smoking under acceleration then i'm affraid its more serious, usually white its the tubs and blue the engine. Do a compression test, this should tell you if there's anything wrong, i did with mine and one of my pistons or rings are f****d so its an engine out job  Hope yours isnt but sorry to say it does sound like it to me. Its only money :D Kirbz
  9. Well i dont mind getting it printed but i'm not putting it all together. I got roped into doing a charity calander last year and i printed it and bound it as well, the printing is fine its the bloddy putting it together thats the problem. But if someone designs the thing i will print it. Kirbz
  10. nice bit of kit the blitz boost controller, cos i got one :p bet you was pleased with your results. Wish i was there to break the 400 mark ;) kirbz
  11. Who's was the yellow one and the dark red one?? Nice looking but what BHP did they run?? I think we should have a list of what cars run what :) Also did any mags turn up to do the feature?? Kirbz
  12. Cant believe i missed it :( Hopefully my beast will be back on the road for the next one in 6 months :D Lets see if someone can top the rr at 500 bhp  Kirbz

When i got my car it had grooved discs already on it but the kind gentleman i bought it off also supplied it with 2 other sets of combi discs. After about 2000 miles the discs warped so being as it wouldnt cost me anything i changed them over and the difference is massive. The braking has improved and after another 3000 miles no sign of juddering. My only advice is to get a good quality set of discs (brembo etc), not just the cheapest. This is why people probebly have had cracked discs. Kirbz ps crossed drilled/grooved look the *****cks :D
  14. 19. Hi Alex Pistons mate!!?? I did a compression test yesterday and all cylinders were between 148 and 160 psi but number 4 was 90 psi  Can you guess what the problem is ;) So its off the road for a while until the wallet says yes to about £5000's worth of stuff so a good few months but while the engines out its having everything thrown at her...well moddified. Hows yours?? Cheers Mike

  23. Well did a compresion test today 1 - 160 psi 2 - 142 psi 3 - 155 psi 4 - 98 psi 5 - 160 psi 6 - 150 psi Now i'm not an expert but even i might be able to tell where my problem is  :D Ohh well forged pistons here i come. Macca watch this space cos when i remove the engine i'm putting everything on it....granted it might be about 10 years till i can afford to do everything:) but when she does get back on the road she will be pushing serious bhp. Kirbz
  24. I wish mine averaged 15 mpg ;) Mine eats the fuel so i'm just going on experience, what i meant to say is dont expect a cheap and cheerful car...its gonna cost you at some point...dont i now know it  Kirbz
