  3. it just means it can alter the fuel pressure, ie increase it so it doesnt put as much pressure on the injectors so you can run more power

i briefly looked into it and yes its possible but you would need to do a RB26 engine transplant as well so it would basically be a skyline with a 300 body which doesnt really make it a 300 anymore does it? it does open up a load of tuning oppotunities though :) big singles, seq box's etc etc ;)
  9. dont know where you heard that from bud but he's still in the Uk as far as i know lol i'm good friends with him and i'm waiting for parts as well but be patient, how long and what have you ordered? Mike

hmmm then your pretty stuffed mate as you can space the wheels out as far as you want but if the physical size of the caliper wont fit behind the wheel then your knackered. tell you what, measure the length of the caliper and width and depth and i will do the same with my 6 pot APs to see if theres much size difference? Mike
  11. theres a thread in the members section about this so maybe worth posting this in there?? Mike

to be honest chris it looks like the actual caliper is struggling to fit behind the wheels width wise and length wise rather than depth? maybe the pic is misleading but it looks very very close to the inside circumference of your rim? Mike

well brakes get very hot so you dont want them too close to the wheels ;)
  14. think i paid about £50 for mine if that helps?
  15. kirbz replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - Non 300ZX
i think you may struggle with your wheels as it doesnt look like you get much clearance with them, i only just managed to fit my 6 pot AP's and they only had 343mm discs the calipers need a good 3-5mm clearance from the back of the wheel. you may if you want to keep the brakes need to change the wheels to a different style and go with a wheel with a good brake clearance like Rays etc look good though ;)
  16. im upto £31k including buying the car last november!! if i included my other 2 zeds i am upto about £50-55k i would imagine!! but dont tell the wife lol

Hi Bud ive got the AEM but i still run a boost controller :) yes the AEM can run a boost map but i prefer to be able to control my boost where as you would get the AEM mapped with the boost and then thats it its set!! so in my case if i did that it would run at 1.6-1.7 bar all the time which i dont want so with my controller when i switch it off it runs at 1 bar and i have a 1.3 and 1.6 bar setting on my boost controller just means you have control mate Mike
  18. cheeky bugger  just got back this morning from a few days away so i'm knackered lol feeling all my years now lmao anyway cheers guys and i will have a beer or two tonight :hyper:
  19. well the engine doesnt just come straight up it has to come forward and up at an angle so the more clearance under the engine the better :) we have to really pull the crossmember down when doing mine as the external wastegate hangs down past the crossmember lol all fun and games
  20. did you fit the spigot ring again?? i had a similar as i for got to fit it and there was slight movement so i fitted the ring and then the spacer over it and jobs a goodun :)
  21. we drop it once we have taken the weight of the engine as if you dont it will drop quite low under the engines weight but it means you can leaver it down to make sure everything clears ok
  22. no cos you just undo it so it comes down on the suspension and back up on the suspension again so it lines itself pretty much Mike
  23. you dont have to but it makes it alot easier so well worth it ;)

yeh i would love to do it but its about £20k each (min of 2 people) to enter!! so £40k is alot of money!? i think there are smaller cheaper ones popping up as well, i know another one was £10k to enter? cheap eh lol
  25. i do actually like the new eos as the top section opens like a sunroof and it would be for the wife not me...........honest ;)
