Baby Seat in a Z - Impossible mission?
Well i have 3 months in which to find and fit a baby seat. Being a 1-car family, it will have to go in the Z. We went to Halford's today and none of their seats could fit in the back, and the fitter suggested that a Nissan dealer might be able to suggest a seat. I was a bit dubious about this, because the seat didn't fit by a lot. So anyway, i figured if anyone would know if ther'es a baby seat that will fit a Z then it's you guys. Any ideas?

christ I like this zed.
Very nice, although i'm not sure it'd get on with the speed bumps on my road.

Replacing seatbelt mechanism - doable?
Nice one. I did give this a go over the weekend, but didn't know i had to roll down the windows. This was probably why it wouldn't come off.

Replacing seatbelt mechanism - doable?
Hmm, i'm not sure if my last post was removed because someone thought i was being lazy and not doing my own homework. Just in case, i have browsed through 343 threads containing the words "seat belt" but i really cannot find the thread. Have also spent an hour or so on google, looking for "300zx seat belt change" and "300zx door card" but all i find are adverts, no help at all. So, is there any chance someone could point me in the right direction? Many thanks in anticipation...

Replacing seatbelt mechanism - doable?
Great, thanks. Do you reckon 18 quid is about right for this part from a breaker's?

Replacing seatbelt mechanism - doable?
I forgot to mention, it's a '92 Jap TT, so has the sealbelt mechanism in the door.

Replacing seatbelt mechanism - doable?
The sealbelt mechanism on the driver's side seems to have gone - it will stop pulling out entirely and then will pull out all the way and not pull back in again. I've found a second hand one from a broken car that i can get for £18 - first, is this a good deal? Second, is replacing it something that a regular guy could do, or would a mechanic be needed? Does anyone have a guide to doing this? Thanks

Black one on the A406 yesterday in the driving rain. Pulled up in front of me and then exited the road. Pretty much my twin except for the loop spoiler.

Drift City
Just thought i'd mention this in case anyone else is into online games. There's a free open beta of Drift City running at the mo. Here's the URL: http://drift.ijji.com/ You have to DL the client and install it Sign up with ijji Click "Play Live" a few times until you get in. Ther's no Z, sadly, but you can choose to start in a 200sx, and all the rides are totally chavvable. It's an MMO, but quite a shallow one, more geared for quick fun than lengthy play.

fast indicators?
>or do you mean 4 in total. I mean 4 in total! >Have you defo connected the earth to feed? Sorry, no idea what you mean. It's connected the same way as the other indicator which now works fine. I've tried the resistor both ways round, although i was under the impression that this wouldn't make any difference. >I had to take splice apart and cut sleeve to expose wire then reconnected using splice. Bit of a pain but that works. I will try this. Thanks

poor fuel economy
Yeah i was shocked on my first big trip a few weeks ago. £130 to get from London to Aberystwyth and back.

fast indicators?
OK this is driving me mad. I've attached one of them. Works fine! But the other side is still flashing like a pervert on speed. The splice is definitely contacting all 4 wires, so assumed it must be a faulty resistor. After waiting a couple of weeks for a new one, it is exactly the same. What the hell can be going on? Any suggestions on how to track down the problem? I can probably borrow a multimeter if neccesary.

Civil liverties improving = worse crime?
True, but the answer is not to halt the advance of civil liberties. Civil liberties are good for all of us, and should be encouraged. But those who abuse the liberty they are given in this (comparitively) liberal country should be punished more harshly. This could be made possible by not punishing victimless crime, and by punishing violent crime much more heavily. Bringing back national service? I hope you are not suggesting that all young people should be forced into national service? Those lads who are tearaways, and need that kind of structure, fine. But why should one such as i, who has never harmed another person, or transgressed any law which harms another person, be forced into something which is fundamentally against my beliefs? National service makes young adults better people? I think you should try testing the moral stance of young Israelis, and see how their general moral stance appeals to you.

anyone got Bioshock
Indeed it is. Wikidepia describes it as the "self-proclaimed spiritual successor to SS2" I love the way you can create different combat builds using a range of plasmids.

28 Weeks Later........
Amazing film. The first 10 minutes were incredibly intense, and really raised the question "what would you do in the situation?" The bit with the snipers was great too, and it was also funny to see my old neighbourhood with zombies running around in it having their heads blown off. As good as 28 Days Later, but in a different way. And apart from the basic premise, it might as well not be a sequel, as there are none of the same characters in it. Which is a good thing.

Seeing as almost all deaf people can lip read, the whole thing seems a bit pointless.
