  11. what do mean ??? mines completely standard officer - honest  Regards, alex
  12. thats the whole point - it should allow you to make more boost - this way you know if its your control or something mechanical - i agree though you have to be very very careful - it would be more sensible to ramp up the duty cycle in 10% intervals - while still being careful. if you get more boost with higher duty cycle you know its just the set up on the boost controller - If you get to 100% and still only make 10 psi or something you know that its mechanical. If its mechanical my first guess would be a weak actuator allowing a slight movement in the wategate valve regards, alex
  13. oh god this sounds familiar :( i would be very interested to know what turbos you're running there... but in the mean time set the duty cycle to 100% and double check you're not running too much advance on the intake cam be very very careful to control the boost with your right foot - are you still having a problem ? check the turbo actuators are set the same and stiffen up the actuators if neccessary regards,. alex
  14. they may of mate i'm not sure - i dont really know but i suspect i had bleed though on the wastegates - i dont know of anyone who has dyno figures much above this though on these turbos. Regards, alex
  15. yep - best figures i ever achieved on T28/25 hybrid stage II's were 344 at the wheels at THOR at 14psi 420 (calculated) at the fly at engine advantages and those turbos would not do any more - beleive me i tried  Regards, alex
  16. omg - i hope everyone comes out of it ok regards, alex
  17. ummmm you need two of them mate regards, alex
  18. just a very quickie this is a JWT 700 dual ball bearing turbo dyno from brrett and a td05-16g average dyno complied by bernie at ooparts the jwt 700 dyno isnt on tubular manfolds but it is on ported ones - and considering the jwt 700 is a brand new dual ball bearing turbo you can see that it produces less power, takes longer to spool and has more lag thn the suposed "old technology" misubishi TD 05-16G p.s. there are lies damn lies and statistics - but i havnt seen anything yet that makes me think the TD 05-16G isnt a damn fine turbo Regards, alex
  19. i agree - more dynos needed the one thing that always made the 16g's seem so good were that they were normally supplied with tubular manifolds - still the garret t28's and t25/28 hybrids just look plain ugly i would love to see a dyno of a car running HKS GT turbos on tubular manifolds. Regards, alex
  20. i'm feeling a little arsey this evening so i'm going to bite on this one show me your evidence of laggy and old technoloy - or is that just a throw away comment that you have no evidence for. my guess is the 16g is a good sized turbo for the zed - good efficiency/ maximum boost around 7,000rpm/good spool compared to the T28 and should produce over 500 horses. which is the silly turbo you are referring to. because its common to get the 16g wheel in the 8cm housing which can also house the 18g wheel - or are you talking about the TD 06 20g ???? in which case i agree it's a silly big laggy turbo - but nothing to do with the 16g ~~~~~> steps off soapbox Regards, alex p.s. apart from the mitsubishi TD05 the only turbos which i have been really impressed with are the garrett GT2530 ( which i'm hoping the pentroof 16g in th 6cm housing will spool as well as but generate more horses) and the HKS GT-RS and no one has dynoed this turbo yet
  21. classic    regards, alex
  22. your guru's for today about mitsubishi turbos would be NEND or LYMON if they are the same as the TD05-16G that i bought you are one lucky b'stard - do they have an external or internal wastegate? Regards, alex
  23. fook - i hope it is .... ... . . . . . . . . . but i dont think so :( regards, alex
  24. nope its a NICE veilside :D
