now my tumble drier has snapped a belt and drum shaft snapped:headvswal:headvswal:headvswal £30 to fix in parts online but my mrs reckon it would worry her as the motor is also a little noisey too and she thinks it may go on fire so new one it is  spose she has a point it is full of feckin fluff. they are a real dangerous design. It draws air from the drum (full of fluff from clothes) and throws it directly onto a heating element via an impellor.

I was gonna flash the bios but it won't hold stable for long enough to trust and I think it's a windows util. I downloaded a newr bios file before I did another format so I'll have to download it again. I don't have a fdd in it either so I guess if it was self boot util I could use a usb drive i'll have a check on the asus site definately a worth a shot . Tried the RAM last night it wouldn't pick it up...seems to be ram fussy. I should email asus support too added.........yup bios is a boot floppy job. Have to "pull a floppy" out of an old unit will give it a shot

Got the job!!

formatted .... reinstalled vista, all usb's removed ,all cables changed different monitor used, still reboots.Ultimate boot cd.... Memtest86 came back pass complete no errors, did a surface scan with one of the tools too and that came back all good with no bad sectors. so that just leaves new mobo(brand new)psu(checked by shop that sold it me said it's goo),cpu(will try a P4 3.0ghx today see if that works) and video card. Getting nowhere with this

random pc reboots....HDD failure???
core volt is stock 1.24v as here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=45822&d=1231679949 ... but will take on the box max 1.35v(have read they will take 1.6v!!!!) I increased it slightly to see if it would stablise it, did not help so set it back to stock. my ram boots on auto at 1.8v on both my asus boards ,corsairs stock volts for these is 1.9v when I built my last rig 2gb was stable at 1.8v and worked for months put 2gb more of same in and I had to up the voltage.

Animal cruelty
agreed bringing back the stocks in the middle of town and branding would be no worse than what she has inflicted on that poor animal which can't go and tell anyone what it's being put through by it's owner.

When Used Cars Are More Ecofriendly Than New Cars
"Dear EarthTalk: Is it better to drive an older, well-maintained car that gets about 25 miles per gallon or to buy a new car that gets about 35 miles per gallon? " seems an odd question ........... cars are going to run their course regardless of the enviroment. A car doesn't get scrapped until it's no longer financially viable to keep them for one reason or another. It'll get sold on and used by someone else to carry the "Eco burden" for someone else to point the finger at. If they get more efficient and cleaner to make/run then that's progression and it'll have to work it's way down the car food chain.
