HID's how do I know if I got 'em?
will have a try tomorrow I can actually see them on the road with this car though. My white z's lights seemed to run on AAA batteries and a 1.5v tourch bulb

HID's how do I know if I got 'em?
lights on this car seems loads more efficient than my other it's a series 2 vs a series 1 if that makes a difference but this one actually lights the road up pretty well. How can I tell if they are HID's ?:bow:

oil sump plug...with sensor
yup agreed I meant to do I when I bought it in september but only driven it a few miles and the weathers been crap so not had chance, too cold even in a garage. That fuchs titan 5w 40 seems ok stuff fully sythetic and less than £20 delivered http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=118243&highlight=fuchs

oil sump plug...with sensor
I shall do that when I get a bit more time and daylight could put a temp one and a boost one on the a pillar I quite like them. Car is running real quiet now. It's suprising what an oil and filter change can do it was a little tappety on idle sometimes before but now quiet as a mouse. Guess it was overdue for an oil change it was quite dirty.

oil sump plug...with sensor
no other guages on there perhaps it had one and has been taken off?
-
oil sump plug...with sensor
just did the first oil change since I bought the car in september(not driven it in months been stored in the garage) couldn't find the sump plug at first them i realised it was actually the bolt I though it wasn't as it has a cable attatched to it with my other z hasn't. So I presume this would be an aftermarket sensor for pressure as there are no new dials on it. Anyone else seen these? I've seen the filter sandwhich plate ones but not these.

One for the PC Techies
go into BIOS screen as above and check under the BOOT section and check the 1st boot drive is the drive windows is loaded on just out of interest. Raid I haven't used but as lampy has said could be summit to do with needing drivers for that(more than 1 HDD). pull the external drive out if it's usb and see if it boots without that screen you're getting then it would be a raid thingy by the looks

One for the PC Techies
do you have to set the time or anything in windows each time you load? cmos battery holds your BIOS settings when computer is off. when they go flat your loose BIOS info ie time date drive cpu settings ...they go into default mode
-
One for the PC Techies
ignore my last post just looked at the screenshot might be a dead cmos battery

One for the PC Techies
f2 or delete depending on board type manufacturer ... this must be done ON BOOT UP before windows starts to load to get into BIOS menu and read thorug the options in there. perhaps its trying to boot your external drive first . did you load windows to the external drive or the internal? you may have 2 operating systems onthere now since installing now it might be giving you a choice of 2 to boot from

Hi from Reunion island
Welcome to the club . I sold something on ebay to a guy in reunion a few years back. Didn't know where it was had to look on a map. Read about it little guess the weather is good there what are the roads like and is the unemployment and rioting as bad as I have read or is that just a news reporters point of view?
