  6. not really confident about the glue I used on the fabric at the moment dude and it takes ages too .....:( took most of my day yesterday to do a set. I can however put photo's of how I have done it step by step ...it's easy just really time consuming.
  7. ty kindly sirs :)
  8. That's very interesting ...is it easy/expensive to do?
  9. I gave the fabric a good ond press down firmly with a block and rag last night and this smorning it's all held down ok so fingers crossed it will stay that way:)

  19. It's the trade stuff (same as we used to use in work, green tin brown/green glue) feckin stinks probably need a couple more coats on the fabric to bridge the gaps in the criss cross.
  20. sweet cheers dude evo stick contact adhesive(we used to use this in work for bonding formica to boards) is what I have used but it is lifting after a while.... I want some feckin strong industrial stuff
  21. :) But I will need a different type of glue for leatherette. Evo stick doesn't seem to be holding it as there is like a fabric hessian type structure on the back of the viynl..... Any suggestions for leatherette to mdf bonding?:confused: :headvswal
  22. car looks great dude. Best way to do it.... get up before the family.....and all the feckin saturday/sunday shoppers/chavs start on their aimless mission............... and burn up the roads :D
  23. a jigsaw is shite for this type of work (ok for one off and roughing one advantage they are less messy) a router is gonna be quicker and neater ..... ps on you cut out don't forget to take into account the direction of rotation of the cutter as it will smash the outside edge out of your worktop cutout for your sink. either leave the last bit in and nip it off with a block plane or flip the top over and reset your pattern or stragiht edge
  24. If you're cutting worktops ...bit wear will depend on material. Tungsten disposable blade cutters are the hardest wearing, you will need a router with 1/2" shaft not 1/4"(though can be done slowly but liable to snap) Take no more than 10mm per cut. Yes you can cramp a stragiht edge down and use it against the base of router or a guide bush BUT DO NOT use quick cramp type cramps use threaded cramps or they will vibrate loose!!!!
  25. :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
