  4. ROFL :D Thats what i need - an engine rebuild, but not an extra special super duper engine rebuild, just a plain simple engine build - preferably one that will last more than a fortnight :D
  5. judging by my recent experience of SE's it could be a long long time - i hear they're up to their eyeballs in it at the mo:rolleyes:

second car policies are often very restricted mileage so if would have to be done that way if the zed isn't your daily driver.. They do give a discount for this.

if you guys need any advice on insurance matters - i am a broker but i dont deal (unless i have to) with private car, so wont be able to do you all quotes - but i can help out with any general advice you need..... for what its worth ;) I dont know for sure because i havent asked him - but ROB WASTEGATE on the SXOC is also a broker doing very good deals for 200 owners at the moment, and he's also just insured a friend of mine on a GTiR for good money.... maybe he would be willing to do something for you zed boys :)
  9. thats a harsh thing to have to whip a lump out for :( No way you can use something like helacoil or is there defo not the space?

just for reference... if you insure 2 cars with the same company they "mirror" your NCD over onto the second car policy :)
  14. in fairness i think this is just a rumour. I would be suprised if they have a problem in that area (after all, i have bankrolled em ;) )
  15. Jezz has posted up just one link there re: my car. Believe me there are several others. Its taken a whole 14 months and a massive 7 engine rebuilds to get to where my car is today - still in the workshop :( To be fair, its not all been their fault, and pete at SE's is a very nice guy - they do turn out some very very nice cars. But the whole experience has been a complete nightmare and if id have known how this was to turn out i would have sold the car a long, long time ago cos its just not been worth the stress. oh, and - re: the time delays. My car was "booked in" the start of may, and came out in late october/early november - just for a bottom end rebuild. This time, my car was supposed to be there for 3 days tops - its now a month. Hopefully i should have it back tomorrow - and id like to say this will be the end of my worries, but excuse me if im a little sceptic :(
