  2. HI all, does anyone know anything about the HKS hyper damper suspension? Large c-spanners adjust ride height, top allen key slots adjust stiffness, what does the small valve looking thing do on the bottom of the strut, they have a chrome cover that you just undo and it looks exactly like a tyre valve?? many thanks friends

  4. hi all, back agian this is a question for a friend of mine who has a garage and is trying to fix a zed he's had for about 2 months. the zed came in running on 5 cylinders and he wanted it sorting (bought from auction) he first thought it was the plenum as it had been off before and all the wiring loom had been cut (injectors) and joined together with crimp conectors, so removed it, gasket was knackerd, put new gasket on replaced it and...its still the same. hes then since, checked compression checked plugs checked fuel getting in and at the right pressure large spark on that cylinder checked timing but it still won't run on that cylinder???????? I don't know what else to suggest, can any of you lot help??? cheers to all Jim

  6. downgrade from the zed? i know the zed was very nice to drive and very quick but the skyline is pushing 400bhp with every HKS concivealble part on it, i know what you mean but would have to disagree now, i own one! Jim

  9. hi all well sold my 300zx tt this week and and bought a R33 skyline today! :dance: im not saying that im never going to come on here agian but you won't see me as much. (proberly every night still) Just really wanted to take the time out and thank EVERYONE for there help, advice, and general friendship which i belive i won't get like that anywhere else. I could'nt have owned my 300 if it was'nt for this site and the peolpe who run it and use it. I would definatley have a 300zx agian maybe an manual next time, but for now (until someone make a silly offer for the skyline) im going over to skylines, drove it home today and was very impressed with it it, its absoulutley packed out with HKS and runs about 400bhp. the only thing im a little concernd with is this drifting diff package it has, it clunks and knocks at slow speeds feels very strange.   10. hi all, well someone made me a silly offer in cash for my zed and i decided to sell it, a new era starts and a interesting window opens to go from a auto tt to a manual tt, im hoping to find a good zed manual tt with lot's of extras ive advertized in the wanted section for one, but if i don't find a good one im consider moving to one of the following, skyline GTR TT v-spec supra tt JZ rx7 TT any comments are welcome and feedback on the above will be well noted, ive started to look tonight properly, but i car'nt seem to give up that old love for the TT zed. cheers all Jim
  11. i have'nt noticed a performance increase yet because i reset the ecu and only done 30 miles so far and feels as though im towing someone at the moment.

  13. just fitted my blitz induction kit and wow what a noise, really impressed and very pleased with it, on lift off you get that induction pop and the noise of the hks dump valves are alot louder!! jim
  14. hi all i was thinking of putting my new gauges (4) in the glove box, not on the inside but on the ouside (above lock) how difficult would this be to route all the hoses and wires there (mechanical ones!) cheers Jim
  15. when i did mine i was all ready for a full day job, but i fact it took me 1 hour! it's easier to cut the old hoses off, them replace with new ones jim
  16. hi pauliezx, the pcvs are small valves that sit on the under side of each plenum, you can see them and just about get to them for removel. they have a small spring inside and alllow the plenums to breath (i think) oil gets passed through them and become clogged over a period of time, most people on here change them weather there faulty or not (just in case). I belevie they either clogg up and stay shut causing pressure to build up and causes the engine to stall upon braking. when bying the pcv valves get the two hoses aswell, for both and hoses i think i paid about £70 from nissan, sorry i car'nt find the part numbers, some one will know them on here, or try searching through old posts under Pcv, there will be the part numbers there, look on the online manual and you'll see where the pcvs are. hope this helps a little mate, regards jim
  17. hi i suppose its all down to your own taste, i had a mongoose on my gti-r and it was very good, nice note and a good power increase, have you tryed replacing your PCV's they used to cause mine to stall all the time until replaced. jim
  18. hi so yours is definatley running on 5 then, have you tryed swapping all the coils round and plugs? jim
  19. it would be interesting to find out for certain what this is caused by as ive posted a few questions on here about this before but no one seems to know why mine seems to be getting worse now and it's now making the noise through both exhausts?? ive just ordered a blitz power fliter kit for mine so maybe hoping for a difference over the standard airbox, maybe it affects the exhaust note that much on idle?? jim

  21. hi all, by any chance does anyone know where i can find (new) or (breaking) parts for a nissan largo sxg 2.0 turbo diesel 4x4, i require a nsf strut? this is my second car for work and is now off the road until i can find one, this means me using the zed alllllllllllll week, what a bummer....... kind regards jim
