  1. Clarkey Could have sworn it was an FTO but clearly not. Looks nice except from the rear - that angle looks like what they thought the future was like in the 70s! If that makes sense :duffer:
  2. Late model Integra?
  3. I thought it was when you poped it in trap two 'by mistake'. :nono:
  4. No pics of me to hand. According to those who know me this is the celebrity I look closest to (the bloke obviously!)
  5. My first attempt to drift saw me spin my old man's car and go backwards through a wall - not insured either. Dad not happy, bloke with wall not happy, police not happy. :nono:  Have a mate who can drive his old 5 series BWM round and round a small roundabout totaly sideways. He gets bikes sideways coming out of corners too.
  6. Poor fuel consumption on EVOs could be down to 4WD and low gearing. A mate had a VII and a set of (genuine) brake pads was £250! Still a great car - fuel consumption is barely relevant compared to other running costs unless you do big miles.
  7. Purple - the exculsive choice! Like your new sig pic BTW!
  8. Check this too: http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm Seat belts on doors means it's a series I. 89-92. If it's a dealer you're buying from you can legitimately pull out and get a full refund if that's what you want. He may not like it but you can 'reject the goods' legally. If you're not sure, don't take the car. Trading Standards can help if the dealer won't play ball.
  9. So who will be there on Sunday? I'll have to sacrifice my usual prescription-pain-killer-and-vodka till 6am binge on Saturday night to have a chance of making it so I'm hoping for a good turn out.
  10. I'm guessing here but 001385 sounds kinda early so it probably isn't a '93 car. Like MantaV8 says, condition is more important than a few years one way or the other.
  11. I'm more smooth like Barry, with a voice with bass, A body like Arnold, with a Denzel face. (well, kinda  )
  12. Go here to Andy's site: http://www.300zx.org.uk/import_dating.htm That will tell you when the car was made. If you're not happy, print it out and Jeff TT's post in the other thread and pull out of the sale. Any legitimate seller should understand. I guess it could be a car made in 89/90 and sat in a showroom for several years before being bought. It sounds more like what Jeff said is true though so maybe pull out of the deal.
  13. Why is it...... On a poll like this when you can see what people voted, once you vote, you can't see what people voted for anymore? ps. Like spinners. I'd have them and a LED nitrous purge kit if I could.
  14. Should be there too - don't have to work now. Unless I meet some amazing chick the night before and we're up until 9am doing the do. So looks like I'll be at the meet.
  15. Nice - clean, simple, cool design. Suit the Z a treat.
  16. Realising my car could be rather slow I have a plan involving an aerosol of 'Easy start' and some home brew pipe leading to the airbox which should guarantee I get into the mid-12s. Probably. :wack:
  17. I think the Japanese certainly 'peaked' then. (mid 90s??) Their economy had been on a massive roll for ages and they had the money to build world-beating cars. Then the arse fell out of their economy and they're only really recovering recently. Could be true of other nations cars too for whatever reasons but I spent some time thinking about the Japnese!
  18. PMLS (or ROTFWMPPMSL or whatever Timmy T says!)
  19. Mods? £320 Servicing? about £300 I think 15 months ownership.
  20. Doesn't the 350Z weigh less than the 300ZX?
  21. Were you in a Cavalier or your Z? I'm guessing it was a Cav. That 8V Cavalier engine produces good power and torque right through the rev range while the Celica only produces goos power right at the top of the rev range. So it's the 'area under the power curve, not the highest point' thing. Of the Celica could have been the regular (140bhp) model, not the VVTi 190bhp jobby. Unless you were in your Z.....?
  22. There is a pond / samll lake less than five minutes walk - nearer than getting from one side of the Showground to the other!
  23. Seriously, what about some ramps (even those ones made from planks) and someone from an approved garage who could check Zs over? I'd happily pay to have thet even. Just a five minute look over and verbal report.
