  2. you were the first person i met Dave. i completely forgot about all thise late nights on ICQ! so thats where my permanent black rings on my eyes have come from
  3. Thanks for the picture Andrew, you can see why he was called Bob :)
  4. for any of you long term members who may remember "Bob" from Safe and Sound, in Chester. he did quite a few member alarm or audio installs, and other vehicle electrics etc. Had a white zed with audio install, with smoke machine and disco lasers, unfortunately, Mark unexpectedly passed away a few weeks ago, and his funeral is today. he traveled down to a fair few southern meets, stopping at my place, where he often setup install jobs while down here. he was my Le Mans co pilot the last time i went, and an honest and genuinely good all round bloke. but boy could he snore for England. will have a brew in his memory later. cheers Bob
  5. personally, i think i would stick with having OEM shoes, given that choice
  6. only if you do it deliberately
  7. pah, the purist in me is saying....
  8. had a flippin cold day at Donington on my bike yesterday, with a couple of hail showers thrown in for good measure could feel my fingers to undo my lid after the first session
  9. That is personalised. and maybe difficult to sell...
  10. we have a club stand organised at Museum of Power show if you fancy going a different direction that day ;-) http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?186654-Museum-of-Power-11th-June-2017-Langford

  12. hi James, it has gone as an echeque and doesnt clear until 26th according to the oaypal account. but we'll give the benefit of the doubt  will convert your account a little later when i get access to a bigger screen than my phone, unless one of the other guys gets a chance to do it sooner.
  13. sorry Ash, i wont be able to make it, as posted before, daughters birthday plans will clash.
  14. there are a lot of Zagato bodied cars i like, especially some of the 60's Lancias. some of his creations are amazing. but take a look through some of these, and you can see he either spent the day at work inspired, or he spent the day at work imbecilic, and nothing in between! must have been some free class a's available in the office as staff benefits back in those days... https://www.google.com/search?q=zagato&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjwp5zi0ZzTAhXrKcAKHdwACgsQ_AUICCgB&biw=1293&bih=669
  15. 1: (adl) phoenix (possible) 2: Craig (looking likely at the moment, not 100% though, depends if daughter is home or away on her birthday that day) 3: 4:
  16. i cannot believe how many people have heated garages when it comes time to sell their cars and bikes.
  17. n/a i think, getting a wash and polish by the look of it as we went by on the bikes this morning
  18. haha, you old fart  but what is this Radio1 you speak of? 2&4 are the only ones where my ears can actuallly make anything out!
  19. looking good there. noce little slalom round the shed should fix your reversing skills... are you moving it to the other side? did you not have a reinforced approach ramp put in as well, up to where the door will be?
  20. same error code different description. tester model is shown on the pic too Chris
  21. ran some live data capture, and the sensor provides wheel speed values. so at least that is working, and presumably proves the ring is fine too. had another search around, and the abs controllers are very prone to failure on quite a lot of vw models. ao am presuming now that the controller input for that wheel, or a specific part of the loom is at fault. the way my luck goes, been a lifelong affliction, :-/
  22. finally got the rest of the old sensor out. put the new sensor in. scan clear scan and codes gone. drive down the road, a different error message on same wheel and sensor. 'sensor display no indication' so i presume not reading off the ring? or some other fault to track down. sigh.
  23. that certainly does bring the years crashing down a little, thanks Mike, i always smile when i see that. i still have club clothing with that logo on ;-)
