old school members who remember Bob?
for any of you long term members who may remember "Bob" from Safe and Sound, in Chester. he did quite a few member alarm or audio installs, and other vehicle electrics etc. Had a white zed with audio install, with smoke machine and disco lasers, unfortunately, Mark unexpectedly passed away a few weeks ago, and his funeral is today. he traveled down to a fair few southern meets, stopping at my place, where he often setup install jobs while down here. he was my Le Mans co pilot the last time i went, and an honest and genuinely good all round bloke. but boy could he snore for England. will have a brew in his memory later. cheers Bob

Rare Nissan Autech Zagato
there are a lot of Zagato bodied cars i like, especially some of the 60's Lancias. some of his creations are amazing. but take a look through some of these, and you can see he either spent the day at work inspired, or he spent the day at work imbecilic, and nothing in between! must have been some free class a's available in the office as staff benefits back in those days... https://www.google.com/search?q=zagato&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjwp5zi0ZzTAhXrKcAKHdwACgsQ_AUICCgB&biw=1293&bih=669

Removing broken abs/speed sensor on touareg

Removing broken abs/speed sensor on touareg
ran some live data capture, and the sensor provides wheel speed values. so at least that is working, and presumably proves the ring is fine too. had another search around, and the abs controllers are very prone to failure on quite a lot of vw models. ao am presuming now that the controller input for that wheel, or a specific part of the loom is at fault. the way my luck goes, been a lifelong affliction, :-/

Removing broken abs/speed sensor on touareg
finally got the rest of the old sensor out. put the new sensor in. scan clear scan and codes gone. drive down the road, a different error message on same wheel and sensor. 'sensor display no indication' so i presume not reading off the ring? or some other fault to track down. sigh.
