hi guys I just had one of the Driftworks hicas eliminator kits fitted. but the car is pulling all over the shop and of course alignment is needed now iv been quoted a few prices for laser alignment assuming the hicas is still in place. Now being as it removed shouldnt the cost of alignment be cheaper? iv been quoted around 110 - 140 for this but also just 35 pounds if they are able to adjust it like regular cars. So with the hicas eliminator kit in place im assuming the cost is cheaper as less work is needed for adjustments? I dont know

iv heard good things about the greddy ones etc but i dont really want to spend more that 150, i dont really mind a second hand decent one. So how do the Gizzmo and greddy compare? what makes the greddy one better? is there any real advantage to it.

alright then 1.50 and this half eaten packet of rolo's besides me...:tongue::hyper: i might be tempted to get rid of my zed since that body kit and colour combo is exactly what i was after, just the miles are a little off-putting. how much would you want for it including a working zed TT prahaps?

well said John. The zed paved the way for high powered, sleek Japanese supercars at the time and as aforementioned, was the original before supras, RX etc. with the exception to the first GTR's but again, slightly different target market. When i had my other cars, i still wanted to buy a zed so bad, dispite my car being faster and worth many times over the zed. it was like an odd obsession. I bought my zed because of the way it made me feel, like the school boy with the pic of a supercar on his bedroom wall, the way it looked and drove. im sure thats some of the reasons why some bought there zeds too and its why im not surprised to see one of my nabours with a 90k Porsche 997, F430, and still a 91 300zx sitting along the driveway.

As topic says, are there any specialist in london or at least just outside of it that are as good as ZedWorld? i as much as i would rather take my car there, right now i cant commit to that kind of journey from where i live. My mech is very good at very good prices but the zed is something that is beyond his scope as his more used to mazda's, supra's, german cars, fords etc

thats a funny comparison. have you seen the way a 997 puts the power down? the car also has almost no turbo lag. It is stupid fast and will embarrass alot of Q-cars. The power delivery is something to be experienced. It would run circles round a Zed on track. As much as i love mine, i know my limits on what my zed can take on. driver abilities or not.

so how much then to coat some 99 JDM headlight inserts in black chrome? got any pics of a black chrome finish?

about 15 years back i remember as a youth bout 10 or so i was walking back from some shops as it was just bout turning night, i saw this mad looking pearl white car with these neon surrounds on the number plate neons underneath (all the hype back then) and some huge rims prob bout 19s dropped. now back then you never really saw cars with even 17s so it was a seriously increadible sight. i remember it was at frontline of the highstreet, my jaw dropped like the rest of the people caught in a gaze. after that i saw this strosek one with deep dish rims in maxpower years ago after that i thought im gonna own one of these no matter what (bout 18-22k at the time for a standard one) but after seing alot of tatty ones over the years and with some shitty bodykits trying too hard to look like a ferrari of some sort put me off, and even tho i could afford it and i guess to the general lay man, i was driving around in far 'better' newer cars (Alpina BM's, verts etc) i had an itch to buy one. finally got one im hopefully keeping for good just last month. my second zed now

The standard pearl yellow looks great. but id probably be re-spraying mine in pearl white or stratus grey (pearly one like you see on the new 6 series)

i think it would be a good idea to post the car ad in question as that seems very dangerous, hopefully this would at least encourage the dealer to put it right. Theres nothing wrong with damaged repaired cars if done right but that is damn right out of order

id bit his hand off for that car, they are immence cars, and considering what they are worth at least 15k for a good one? as much as i would prob never sell my zed i would have thought it was a joke as i would never swap a tuscan for a zed

if you can source the compressor and the rubber mounts for the struts (50 odd quid in total you say?) Then il be defo be taking that off your hands Is the like a PM funtion on this forum...cant seem to find it.

i see so how long would you say with the current compressor you have say it takes to raise to maximum height?

sounds good but where would i get those bits from (compressor and mounts). i have no idea what kind of kit it is and im not that technical to remove it myself. do you have a link to the original kit? i would like to take it off your hands tho
