  1. that fitting is way off. the zed has a pcd of 5x114.3 the only way ud get a wheel like that to fit is to fit hub converters but that will push ur wheels out by at least 20mm
  2. iv always loved the zed in this colour. one of the first ones iv every seen when i was younger, looks stunning when the pearl paint is in good condition that zed must be very mint. it even still uses the original supplied OEM conti tires
  3. have a good one.
  4. :drool:those wheels are sick they are around 3k new. youve good a stupidly great bargin there
  5. looks nice. those semi-slicks finish the look nicely. But i have to ask do you not get bad rubbing on the front? because im running 255 / 35 / 19 at the front and im getting serious rubbing issues (ET35 wheels with 30mm spacers) and the stance of mine is pretty much like yours
  6. thanks man. It was an early prototype of the viper bumper thats been modified a little its needs fixing already tho as the car sits so low and the bumps round here are stupidly high. glad uv sorted ur issues with the HIDs
  7. i was gonna ask you both the same. im still doing some data backups which is taking ages so that my excuse i did think why im i still up 3am talking about HIDs
  8. @ pablito you will need to place the voltmeter on the input feed of the ballast and not the output as when they start they discharge something like 23k volts the meter should read around 10-14.8v (with the alternator running). or better yet use the voltmeter on the input of the working ballast and use that as comparison
  9. thats what i ment. I thought you was talking about a separate earth feed which i thought would be odd
  10. your bulb is on its way out. they always turn a dim pinkish/orange colour when the bulb is about to expire soon and @ pablito if you can. get a voltage meter to see how much current is running tru to the ballast. The HIDs are not usually wired to a seperate ground as most kits (all the ones iv ever seen) derive their power from the dipped beam connecting with 2 flat prongs. Put your old bulb back in and see if its dim. If it lights up fine then its almost defo a faulty ballast unit which is likely not sustaining the current to ignite the gas in the bulb
  11. the ballast unit might be faulty and may not igniting the Bulb properly. What is the colour of the bulb when it lights up? cool blue/ice white or a pinkish colour?
  12. lol did you really do that?
  13. maybe its only me but iv always really disliked the Z31 out of the Zed range. i love the older ones tho. prob the only instance where id prefer to have a Silvia S13 of that generation instead of a Z31
  14. Did you check to see if the remote wire (usually a thin blue cable) that runs from the head is isolated and not touching anything? as this cable carries a positive current from the batt. Also chances are aswell you should be using at least a 20amp fuse for a amp powering a sub as i assum your running some decent power
  15. its is illegal to drive without the front bumper. a few years ago when my bumper came off my old Alpina 3 series i was pulled up on it. I got let of as i didnt know but they mentioned had it been traffic officers i would have certainly had my car taken for being unfit for road use. For safety reasons in regards to pedestrians there needs to be a bumper that complies to a certain size hight etc.
  16. looks like its got quite big brakes tho
  17. really love that Zed.. how much did you let it go for in the end?
  18. sorry no link as i used to work for a company. now as iv moved to doing mixing and mastering and post production theres no need for me to have a site etc. but i still still do ICE installs for those that ask. il see if i can dig out some pics of my install off my old hard drive
  19. shame your not any closer as its what i specialize in, i could have done that for you, altho i will be up near Birmingham in a few weeks tho
  20. thanks. How much you after for your zed if you dont mind me asking specs? it looks pretty much how id like to do my car
  21. that same gearbox was sold on ebay for even less some months back. as said before the advert pic is rubbish and doesnt help.
  22. mk6 Golf R or sirrroco R both have almost 300bhp and return more than 30mpg the Golf R is also the quickest and most powerful golf ever with 4-wheel drive system etc etc
  23. that guy will be loaded within the year if he aint aready, and in the words of an american that is 'free-kin awesome'
