Yeah it takes time but its possible. When i refurbed my alloys i went for 280 (as they were BADLY pitted) then 600, then 1200, 1500 and finally 2000. Gave a perfect smooth surface :D

I just rubbed it all off with wet and dry and gradually go less and less abrasive - then polish em up :)

You need a UK set of wheels mate - they have wider rears which will accomodate a 265 tyre :)
