  1. You 'should' get 30+ mpg at a steady speed. When i bought my car i drove it back from swindon and i got 33mpg at a steady 80mph and mine is a 1992 jap tt auto - NEVER done anywhere near that since though! My dad has a n/a and he worked out he got 27mpg over 1000 miles of every kind of driving.
  2. Just to let you know it is probably £50 because of the final value fees, when an item sells they take a percentage! So a sale of £1500 will be a fairly hefty final value fee. I would tell them to fook off, they should of just suspended you and left it at that, thats all they did to me a couple of years ago! Defineately fight it - the robbin fookers!
  3. OH :( Thats very unlucky, i guess breaking is the way forward then, unless you can sell it as a whole to save you time. You could break it yourself, everything is simple enough until you get to engine and gearbox and then i would suggest selling it under the condition that the person who buys has to remove it from the car themselves. Only a thought - just gotta do whats best for you. :)
  4. That should'nt be the end of the world really, stuff like that can be fixed, it would be best of you got a mechanic under it and he can tell you exactly what parts you need.
  5. I bought one from zcenter when i first bought my car, he's a good bloke to deal with. I have just dealt with DTA aswell and he's very easy to deal with aswell and helpful ;)
  6. LOL, i'm 6'4 - i have the same problem, sounds stupid but its actually easier to undo 4 bolts and take the seat out. ;)
  7. Honestly bud if its the same problem as mine (and it sounds like it is) - its a fuse.
  8. I had the same problem and all it was, was a fuse in the drivers footwell. I shorted wires when i fitted my back lights and all i had was brake lights and full beam, changed a fuse and hey presto worked perfectly again.
  9. Saw them a few years ago at the MEN, crackin' gig.
  10. LOL. Mine too, but you can use any of the pics in 'my ride' section, block the number if you can please. :)
  11. Great Stuff, cheers bud, two of them look like they could be it. I'll look at them first. :)
  12. lol. Good grief some people are so bloody spoiled!
  13. Anybody have any idea which fuse is for the aerial - save me breaking my back checking everyone. lol
  14. Is there a definate place i can get one, i mean besides the one in the link from the US.
  15. Oh my goodness, how much time do people have on their hands. lol
  16. That looks bloody fantastic - i'll be havin one of those. :) You would'nt believe how many cars i get with no socket to take the locking nuts off.
  17. lol. did'nt even think of that. :wack:
  18. ^^^^What they said^^^^ Best thing is to nip it to a tyre bay, they will force a socket on it and get them off, however as said before your nuts will be knackered and you will have to buy a new set - not the end of the world though. :)
  19. It would take a lot more than F1 to get me up at 5.30am! lol
  20. :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
  21. Only problem like this i had was a supra, the hazard switch was not plugged in and therefore the indicators did'nt work either. Don't know if that is any help, but you never know.
  22. Cheeky B*stards. And wtf is up with the first comment someone made - Sounds like everyone gains, to me. What bad crack have they been smokin!
  23. PMSL  I believe the phrase is - there is more than one way to skin a cat. lol
  24. Oh ok, i get you now. Although we actually put all the cars we buy under my name. :p Also we can drive other peoples cars with their permission, which means i have to tenderly explain to them, that if i wrap their car round a tree - i'll have to do the repair for them, cos the insurance company won't. lol
