  5. I have a navman, which was fantastic at first but i never upgraded it and now it sometimes gives me bad info - its great more often than not though, and mine is a fairly old model now. Also i managed to just buy some software for camera locations. But i would imagine the best for speed camera locations is a road angel sat nav - i have been looking at upgrading to a road angel sat nav myself, i think they do a fairly cheap one now. It maybe worth looking into.
  6. I'v read up on the profec b and it sounds good for me, so i think i'll go for that, cheers.
  7. Will do Andy, also what is the best (not necessarily the most expensive - if you know what i mean) electronic boost controller to use?
  8. I ain't got the money at the moment, but you can expect to hear from me very soon. Seriously though, are you willing to do the springs, shocks, oil cooler and boost controller, and if so how much baring in mind i'm now officially your new best (local) friend. lol
  9. Oops dropped the ball there aswell
  10. Is that right, i did'nt quite catch on to that one. Is that true Andy are you the man for the job. :xxx: LOL.
  11. Sounds about right - a brave mechanic is hard to find, i have to twist my mechanics arm to do anything cos he's old school, likes his old simple cars - you know what i mean :p Anyway Andy, cheers for the help, appreciate it, you will be the first person i bother with a problem in the future :xxx:
  12. They are on ebay, i believe from a company who trade n this site - swz. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/nissan-300zx-KYB-and-Eibach-spring-Package_W0QQitemZ150157634767QQihZ005QQcategoryZ40192QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. Tha shocks are part of a package with the coils, i think the package is jdm/eibach (but not 100%, as it was a while when i found them on the internet). My car has a full jap history and has been well maintained by myself (only serviced about 1000 miles ago), not sure about previous owner however he only owned it for six months and he was the first UK owner. As for gearbox, the oil has not been changed by myself however it is a lovely pink colour which means it is good. As for chipping, what do you mean by that, i am still a novice regarding this sort of thing, my car is fitted with a blitz access ecu, will that be ok or will something further have to be done? And the box cooler, where do i buy one and roughly how much will it cost to buy and fit - is there anybody local who is willing to take on the task? My rad was brand new less than a year ago - does that help me or not? Also do you know anybody local who would do jobs like i want done to my car, as most mechanics run a mile in the other direction when i mention what my car is.
  14. Yeah where are you, your avatar says a few places? Also you know everything there is to know, whats the best psi and will i need to do anything extra. I am also thinking of new eibach coils and shockers, are they a good idea - will it improve my handling?
  15. I am planning on fitting an electronic boost controller, so firstly what is the best psi setting for my 1992 jap spec tt auto standard except for a blitz sus induction kit. Also will i have to do anything extra to the car to handle the extra power? Any help would be great.
  16. Cheers steve, sorry if it seemed i was being impatient, i was just trying to make sure you were getting my pm's ok. Thanks for letting me know, and i think i have sent all the info you need in my pm however if you need anything else let me know. Thanks again steve, appreciate it.
  17. F.A.O. Steve-300zx Hi Steve tried to PM you twice regarding my membership, the messages are unread though, did you get the messages or do i need to resend the message, i sent them on the 6th and 7th Sep 07.
  18. Just a quick one Andy, is it very hard to remove the plenum, as eventually i want to chrome it. Now i have a good reason to do it.
  19. Cheers bud i'll give it a go.
  20. Is it better than 28 days later, as i really liked that film, but never got chance to watch 28 weeks later when it came out, i will rent it now though.
  21. I'm no mechanic, will i be able to do that myself. Also how do i reset the ecu, does it have a reset button?
  22. Mine does'nt stall unless i emergency brake. When i brake at junctions it dips really low in revs and nearly cuts out, and it happens whenever my car is cold - once warmed up its perfect.
  23. I have an Auto TT fairlady, and ever since i have owned it, it stalls when i brake hard - but only when it is cold, once the temp is up to normal it is 100% fine. Oh and when its cold - when i set off the revs dip right down and then pick up as if nothing has happened - only when cold though. Anybody had this problem or know anything about it??? Its not a major problem as when its warmed up the car is 100%, but its quite annoying when its cold.
