Ok so my old zed again!! I've been helping the chap to get it up & running as it stalls when put in gear! (auto) so we checked the cam belt & found this was a tooth or 2 out so redone it & set timing to 25deg with engine fully warmed up & in N it idles lovely now & no smoke like there was before we redone cam belt & timing ,! So that's all good .. Also base idle set to around 700 then when yellow plug is refitted the revs come up to 900 which I'm told is about right? Now can put in gear but as soon as u touch the throttle it stalls! Even when in neutral and give it a blip it goes to die ! Any ideas? No boost leaks checked! Idle control checked! Timing checked!

If your replacing them I would cut the wires to the original ones & use a ring spanner ;)

Just use the fake stuff your trimmer should have some sample cards ! U can't tell the difference unlike fake leather ! & sulus be around £11 per sq meter :) that's what I'm using on mine I'll try & find the brand for u if your interested?

Stick plenty of good fuel in her too! & de flood her it don't take much to flood .. So pull the fuel pump fuse & plant the throttle while turning her over for a count of 10seconds! This should de-flood her.

Just 1 ASB & 1 OTHER :) not bad but I reckon the ASB will go up once my car is on the road!!! She's v loud ;)

no i think its when its done outside we found it happened the most! must be a temperature or moisture thing but we wasnt the only ones who had this trouble!

yeah i had this but 4 weeks later the water pump gave up !! this is a common sign of water pump failer so keep an eye out !!! fingers crossed im wrong but exactly the same thing happened last year to my new zed! good excuse for a 60k service tho;)

im a valeter & auto glym trained & certificated i love there stuff but this ultra deep shine is a real pita as u think youve got it all off & u check & double check !! all looks fine then the next day white marks apear!!! ive used all sorts off waxes polishes etc & for value & looks the auto glym HD wax is awesome! but my favourite is zymol!! you cant beat it to be honest it just keeps shinning wash after wash although can be expensive with some priced over £1800!!! u can get the ZYMOL JAPON designed for japanese paint! not that i care what paint its for it does a very good job for around £35-£40......ps who ever said they used G3 try autoglym bodyshop 3B ...much easier & less dust !

Ah I see!! Good job you've done there !! I done my first zed in vinyl & it was a pita to get in around the corners !! I'm using suede stuff this time should be a doddle :-)
