New Autobox
Hi. As Chris said, why not convert to a manual. Zedworld do it for £1500 including parts and labour. Good luck

Uk Z
Have to agree with you there Tim. I have a 91 TT import. Not a speck of rust to be found. The only trouble I`ve had was the PTU going (which is no big deal) and the insurance wasn`t much more that it made a difference. All in all I`m pleased I bought an import ,as the Uk ones that I looked at weren`t a patch on what I eventually got. Maybe I just got lucky though!! This is by no means saying that there aren`t plenty of excellent uk cars around, but I`ll stick with the import thank you.:)

Headlights........again
Hello all. Has anyone tried Triplus daylighter power headlamp bulbs. I`ve just been talking to someone at a local bodyshop and we got talking about the the hopeless lights on the Z. He told me about these and supposedley, according to the leaflet I`ve got............."The Triplus high power bulbs emit double the light of your standard car light bulbs and are used in rallying, racing and off road cars. The bulbs are Xenon gas filled and emit a super white light, with a blue shine and power of up to 145 Watts....." Any advice or comments about these would be welcomed. Cheers Petey

What engine oil in a TT?
Stuart. Thanks for that bit info. After looking at Valvolines website and product range there`s no sign of a 5 - 50 oil but thats what it says on the bottle- SAE 5W-50. Seems to be doing the job ok. Touch wood!-(Which is always better than touching cloth!!!)

What engine oil in a TT?
Just had a full 60,000 mile service(with belt changes etc.) at GPS and they refilled with Valvoline Synpower 5W-50. Never heard of it but it seems to be pretty good, and I`m sure GPS wouldn`t use it if it wasn`t.

Age of Z owners?
So no one on here is old enough to take a ride in my other car then??...................... A Vauxhall hearse!! (It goes with the job I`m afraid.) I`m 35 myself. (At that inbetweenie type age. Not that young anymore but still watching Grange Hill on digital tv.)

newest zed?
When i was looking to buy one I spoke to a garage who were selling (or as it turned out, had just sold) a `96. That was the newest I`d seen. They said they had taken it as a part ex against a new car and didn`t know anything about them. It had very low mileage and they sold it for about £4000 if I remember right. I asked them why it was so cheap and they said they just wanted rid of it!!

Could well have been you as i`ve also seen the same black one coming along Cowpen Road by the Shell station. Nice to see another in the area, although I`m sure there`s probably more. On a different note. I called in at the spray shop up at Bebside a few weeks ago to see about getting a little bit of work done. From what I remember the blokes called Gary(?) He seemed to know his stuff and was helpful enough. Have you heard what his works like? He`s in the old chapel next to Bebside Motors. Seems ok but it would be nice to get someone elses view. And if it was you, you were driving very sensibly........i think:)

Don`t know if that meant me or Minder but I`m in the teeming metropolis of Guide Post. I`ve seen the same black one on the spine road a few times and thats about it. Mines charcoal grey 91 Jap TT (with shiny shiny chromed alloys :) )Only had it a few months and its been off the road for about 6 weeks, but has been to Whitley a few times cos you beach is nicer than Cambois!! Should get it back from GPS soon. Can`t wait

Anyone got floor mats from Courtesy?
Whats wrong with the shag pile ones?? I have them in mine. When the cars in the garage for the night they go in front of the fire in the house as I can`t afford a sheepskin rug. Lovely to roll around on with the laydees and it impresses them no end.:D :D Mind the metal Fairlady plates on them can be a bit of a nuisance

About to purchase 300ZX N/A
Ant. Pretty new here myself, but i `d personally ask some questions regarding the mileage. 54000km doesn`t seem like a lot on a G plate and anything could have been done when, or before it was imported. As I say i`m new here myself and I stand to be corrected. Good luck though. Mines off the road at the moment waiting for the big service at GPS. (Once Latz recovers enough)

Newbie signing in.
Hello all. Completely new to all this bulletin board kind of mullarkey but as I`ve lurked for a while I thought I`d better register and post seeing as how i`ve now got car to talk about. Love it to bits. 1991 import and, as far as I can see, totally original with 55k. While the weather has been a bit dodgy up North its spent a lot of time wrapped up warm in the garage waiting for the sun. Stand and look at it a lot and drag everyone else in to look at it. Only has the original stereo in so still having to use tapes-remember those? And favourite for driving to.............The Rezillos-Can`t Stand The Rezillos. Dodgy I know, but hey... Anyway. Far too much for first post. So just ...Hello.:)
