  1. I have sourced one of these on the internet suitable for a 300ZX. How exactly does it work? What advantages does it have? And also is it likely to damage anything? Thanks, Dan
  2. what do you think it has had done to it to make it sound like this??
  3. The other day i was picking a skip up from a customer and the arm of the skip lorry snagged a BT cable that was clipped to the side of the pole (no secondary protection) and pulled the cable out of the box at the top knocking four homes of the phone. A week later, the customer contacts me and tells me BT have been out 3 times and made the fault worse by knocking 6 homes off A BT engineer with "no boss" and "no office" as he "works from a van" contacted me and asked for my address as he would be billing me approx £1000 - £2000. Upon telling him I would contact BT, they have no recolection of a fault been reported, yet some attempt has been made. Is someone trying to con me? Where do I stand legally? And, should a cable repair really cost between one and two thousand pound? thanks guys, Dan
  4. yep, checked, checked and double checked to make sure. When I bought it, the title had only been on Amazon for just over 2 hours

  6. I have bought a Hitachi media player but it is not supported by my car head unit as my computer has put the files onto it in windows media format. I need to convert them over to MP3 format, how can I do this??
  7. What cars stick out in your memory that you played with as a child? I had many, and even remember playing with my yellow Matchbox 300zx, it had "300ZX" written down the side.
  8. On two occasions when the Z tried to accelerate on the ice track one wheel was spinning. I thought all Z`s had slippers. If the diff was knackered then that would explain why a manual twin turbo was available for £1500. Or am I completely wrong here?
  9. As my Z is fast approaching 120,000 miles now and I fear the worst of such things as turbo`s and timing belt I thought maybe a V8 conversion could be an option. I was looking for information on whether or not the standard Z 5 speed box would be compatible? Which V8 engine to go for? Who could actually do the conversion for me? And a rough estimate of costs? Thanks, Dan

  12. I drove my car quite hard today in the heat, after letting it cool down I noticed blueish smoke coming out of the nearside exhaust, it only seemed to thicken as the car cooled. After switching it off and starting it up several hours later I let it idle again, this time, there was no smoke. Whats causing this? & by changing the oil will it help to stop it smoking? cheers, Dan
  13. This weekend I want to drain out my brake fluid, flush it through and then bleed it back up with a good quality fluid... is it worth attempting it myself? If so can you guys give me some info on things like where to drain it from etc...
  14. Thinking of ordering a set of these for my car, is it true they drop the car 10mm at the front and 5mm at the rear? Can you please post a pic of you car if you have these fitted? Thanks, Dan

  18. I know this must come up time and time again, but, Tonight i drove my car quite hard, I then let it cool on tickover for about 5 minutes. About 2 hours later I started it up and whilst it was ticking over I noticed whisps of smoke from the nearside exhaust that smelt like buring oil. I drove the car home and the smoke seemed to disappear... Whats causing this? What can I do to prevent this? What damage is it causing? Thanks guys, Dan
  19. I put my Mercedes up for sale and have had a lot of interest in it, I have stated that the sale does not include the number plate. If someone was to come along and purchase the car what do I have to do to make sure I do not loose my number plate? Or is the only way to actually have it put onto retention throught the DVLA? Thanks guys, Dan

My 1992 UK 300ZX tt has just started to idle at about 1800rpm, it is as though the choke is out, its being doing it intermitantly for a few weeks now but these last couple of days it pretty much constant...
