  7. Nice one bud. Totally jealous! lol
  8. Custom made subframes would be the way to go. Might give you a bit a of grief if you come to sell the car to someone taller or shorter than you, unless the seats have sliders.
  9. It is a shame. There was another guy on the Edinburgh Cruise stand who works at a local car auctions. He had a look at it and said that the book price on it would be in the region of £200 with a couple of hundred pounds worth of damage.
  10. OK, im in no way supporting the actions of what Scott did on sunday morning. It was a stupid thing to be doing and thats exactly why i wont be on their stand. He was doing doughnuts and hit a yellow EG civic. Granted the civic wasn't in the best of conditions in the first place, but thats not for any of us to judge. Once the collision happened, Scott was quick to own upto damaging the civic and spoke with the owner of the civic. The bumper had been knocked and the rear passenger side tail-light was demolished. Scott did offer to drive the owner of the civic to the bank and give her £500, there and then, to pay for the repairs. He also offered to send down a brand new tail-light. But when the owners boyfriend got onto the scene, everything changed. He started ranting and raving, got Mr Fuggles and other organisers involved and demanded it was processed through the insurance. Consequently, Scott was asked to leave site after handing over insurance details. Unfortunately, the EG wasnt in the best of conditions before the accident. The front bumper looked as though it had been painted with a brush and the sills were filled with expanding foam. Once the insurance company has a look, it's more than likely to be written off. Its a total shame that the book price for EG civics have fallen through the floor, so i think it would've been a sensible idea to keep it out of the insurance and take Scott up on his offer. Rant Over
  11. I found the "Most desirable zed" section the most difficult to decide from. For me, it had to be between IanL's shorty or Daz's Vert.

Wheel stud on which hub? I think when mine comes off the road, it wont be going back on for a fair few months.
  13. Not meaning to sound wide but why are you so obsessed with buying an accident damaged car? Why dont you get yourself a decent non-damaged car and save up for something with a bit more poke!

Nothing at all. the brake pads are wearing a wee bit thin and the rear passenger side hub needs replaced. One of the wheel studs sheered after my mate never tightened the wheel properly! So to put it lightly, ive got a list the length of my arm that im wanting to do to the zed over the winter. The sooner i get started on it, the sooner she'll be ready.

  21. Ive been to Jimmers 3 times for alot him to work on my car. 1st time - Engine build 2nd time - Turbo replacement 3rd time - Engine swap into another car.
  22. I never got mine checked by Jeff, but Jimmer checked it about a month ago. Bang on. no fault codes and everything spot on.:nana2:
  23. Could you ask him for a rough price on a respray of a zed? No, i havent had any experience personally. I've seen alot of cars that they have worked on and they looked really good quality.
  24. sorry Jim, i didn't quite understand what u had meant. If your looking for a bodyshop, try JRM Coachworks (Formerly MRM Coachworks) over on Roseburn Street (directly opposite Murrayfield Stadium) Thats where mine is heading soon.
  25. Am i right in thinking your meaning that your getting the front bumper smoothed in with the wings? If so......PLEASE DONT! I just spent forever taking that monstrosity of a veilside bumper off of mine and what a terrible time i had trying to fit its replacement. Just need to think about how often it would be in the bodyshop or how hard it would be to change parts over that are behind the front bumper. You'd need to have the bumper taken off, do the work, put it back on then it would be away back to the bodyshop for blending and painting again. Just my 2p's worth
