What Kit is this and where to buy?
Sorry, I mean't the wide arch kit that you have shown in your first photo. Do you mean just the rear bumper or the actually body kit on stella's old car?

normal unleaded prepare to tell me off
I tend to use Tesco's Momentum. Usually cheaper than v-power and there is a tesco's garage closer to me.

You cant get that kit anymore. You can get a very similar one from z-centre.

Hi and i just wanted to share a few pics
Welcome to the club. Thats a fine looking car you got mate. Not sure on the rear spoiler, but the rest of it looks great. Just a friendly word though. Please dont let this turn into a "for sale" thread or it'll be moderated / deleted. Cheers

any one have a twin turbo 300zx engine?
Dinnae be daft! Did Jeff say that the bodywork on it was ok? I'd be speaking to John Dixon and get the engine that he has for sale, rebuilt by Nissan. Than you've got a good condition engine inside your good condition shell.

Anyone fit my turbo for me please o/s
Im sure Jimmer would do it, although he's over in bristol. If you dont fancy travelling that far, try silverbullet.

Hicas removal, whats needed?
If you switch to an NA pump and pot, you wont have to cut the banjo fitting off of the pipe and connect to the spare leg....because you wont have the spare leg and pipe.

Hicas removal, whats needed?
It simple....honest! All you need to do is: 1. Unbolt the two pipes from the rear steering rack. Be careful so you dont get a mouthful of power steering fluid. 2. Remove / cut back pipes (which ever you prefer. They are a bit fiddly to remove but makes the engine bay alot tidy-er) 3. If removing, one of the other end will be attached to the hicas solenoid and the other will be attached to one of the legs from the PAS Pot. 4. The remaining pipe on the HICAS solenoid can now have the banjo fitting cut off and connected to the spare leg on the PAS pot. (Im used a length of silicone hose.) 5. Undo the two bolts which hold the steering rack to the sub frame and remove steering rack. 6. Remove ball joints from rear hubs (I used an angle grinder, punch and a hammer) and press DW split bushes into place. 7. Fit DW mounting brackets, using the holes where the steering rack used to be. 8. I set my roughly to the length of the old arms. (I wasnt too fussed about being spot on as i had my geometry set up afterwards) 9. Hicas solenoid can now be removed / discarded. 10. Top up power steering fluid. With engine running, travel from full lock one way and back again. I did this 3 or 4 times, while topping up fluid when required. See.......SIMPLES :D

bar the zed's
Mine had to be my 1986 Nissan Bluebird 1.8 turbo. Absolutely loved and and would kill to get my hands on another one. Only got rid of it because the turbo went bang and i didnt have the space to rebuild the engine :(

Whats your views on this 'Ferrari'?
Like paul says, just because something has an engine transplant, doesnt mean that the car loses its identity. Drive a V8 zed down a road and people would still recognise it as a 300zx. I reckon it needs all the "crap" on the back to keep the thing on the ground. 275mph+ would be some feit with the back end feeling like it's floating.

Vacuum And Water Pipes

Hicas removal, whats needed?
The Driftworks kit is designed so you can get rid of the pipes that run from the HICAS solenoid to the rear rack. Like jimmer said, if you cut the banjo end off of the pipe which runs from the power steering pump the the HICAS solenoid, and connect it to the spare leg on the PAS Pot, you've got the job sorted. :D

What was the last thing you bought?

Meet before christmas
Sorry chief, i meant andy (Crashcourse) Depending on dates, i might be able to make the meet at the end of the month. I'm on constant night shifts till then so i'd need to arrange a night off. Where are you thinking for the christmas outing? Could head somewhere a little more central than Dalkeith, if Jaikai and Hoody were coming.
