Thanks guys, I defiantly want T tops though, miss the targa roof on my old 914 :( I looked around on the net for insurance as a (very) rough guide and i got it down to £682.45 fully comp. That's with 3 points, an accident 3 years ago, 4 years no claims (although I think I'll have five by the time I buy one) and I'm 28. I was pleasantly surprised :) I know I'll be able to get that down by phoning around etc to. Looks like I will be buying an import after all, SWB just has a better side profile IMO.

Coopers-SWB- I live in, what is today, a very sunny Southend, won't be ready to buy a 300zx till the end of the year/ beginning of next though, need to wait for some point's to come off my license, got a bit careless in my last car and racked a few up for speeding :( been a good boy since though. I'll happily pay my score when I've got my very own 300zx. markstevens- The only reason I want a UK car is insurance but I don't really know how much the difference would be to insure an import any ideas anyone? My old GT4 was a low mileage minter, for now I'm driving a tatty but solid mitsubishi starion, but I'm kinda use to the 220ish BHP I've got now hence the decision to buy something a little faster rather than go tuning and stressing parts. I'll have around 5k to spend and i think I'll get a good one for that. The only mods I'd like would be a decent exhaust system, dump valve, suspension set up, nice wheels and maybe a brake upgrade just discs and pads mind nothing outrageous.

Ok, although I've always been into cars and have owned a few high performance turbo cars I'm looking to buy a 300zx TT (Z32) towards the end of the year/beginning of next. Things I know I want are the a for mentioned twin turbos, T-tops and a manual box. I don't want an import if possible, but I heard the short wheel base model was never sold in the UK? Now that's about the extent of my knowledge of the 300zx which is pretty lame hence me asking you guys about them and gaining some knowledge first. Things I would like to know are what should I be looking for, trouble spots, what Modifications to look out for and what ones to avoid. Like I said I know my way round a car, just not this one in particular, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
