  1. What he said ^^^^^^^^^ ;-)
  2. Hehe. no offence, but how can you tell they were 20inchers? can't tell the difference between 19s and 20s meself.. :)
  3. Glad to be of help
  4. Nice looking yellow z on the a31 near the shepherd and flock.. Was in my red Z. :nana2:
  5. Cheers, funky. Any recommendations on the paint?
  6. Hi guys. I am looking to paint my brake calipers(no problem) and the Hub(don't know if thats the right way of putting it - the bit that the alloy sits on ;-) ). Is there any paint/do's and don'ts for this kind of thing? Cheers
  7. Well, whatdya know. The springy bit has been re-sprung, the extra paint removed, and a liberal portion of wd40 applied, and its smoother than a DB9®.
  8. Legrath - Maybe got the record for looking for a particular car :-) Will check the Fuel cap/respray. With regards to the transmission whine, It could be that, but if you've got the window open, or someone else is driving it, it's quite loud outside the car.. Rufio - cheers will check the "springiness" of the metal ;-)
  9. Hi guys, have had my z for a couplea weeks now and love it :nana2: . Just a couple of questions: 1) the fuel cap release is VERY flakey. sometimes takes me 4-5 attempts to get it open.. is there a known problem with these and/or a fix. The lever by the drivers seat feels a bit loose, so could be the cables stretched? 2) There is quite a lot of "transmission whine" when the car is in gear and moving. Difficult to know if there's a problem or not, or just components getting old etc.. Not really a question, I know! 3) Does anyone make "bags" or similar for the T-bars? Haven't got anything to put 'em in, and don't like them being loose in the boot.. Thanks in anticipation
  10. Also worth looking in the Event Viewer. Mostly crap in there, but sometimes records something usefull... is in control panel, administrative tools. Look for anything with a red circle with an X in it.
  11. IRQ. Almost definately. Go to system information(all programs, accesories, system tools)click on hardware resources, then conflicts/sharing. Difficult to say what it will look like for you, but look for something "mousey" ;-). If theres a conflict in there, try disabling the other thing(unless its GFX, Bus or other MOBO related). Reboot. Also, try looking in the IRQ section, and looking for clashes with mouse/USB. Maybe take some screenshots and post em?
  12. To be honest, it was full of people who were wearing shell suits(obviously wanna be rally drivers...), people with baseball caps, (obviously people who wanna be people who wanna be rally drivers), and 1 lady, feeling left out, because she left her rally driver at home. Oh, and me.
  13. Right. just got back from the pub. It's definate. My mum is Sooooo much bigger than your mum. defo. full stop. yo diggety.
  14. Hmm. Enough of this frivolity. I'm off down the pub :duffer: :duffer: oh, BTW, Zeds are better  :nana2:  :nana2:
  15. Yeah, and a 360 degree thrust bearing upgrade on your CPU fan. Unless its a '92, obviously. Thats when they started shipping with the RUIE(Retarded User Interface Environment), which necessitated the use of small pygmies inside the "bus" which made it "go fasta".
  16. And why does everyone have such LARGE sigs? takes forever to scroll down the page, and my scrollwheel is gettin' hot. (is a Dell. obviously much better for modding than those silly, ugly microsoft ones. bleurgh!)
  17. Best way to look at it.. put a Z(maybe with a BIT of bodykit on it) in a carpark next to an evo or scooby. WHich car would you rather get in/gets the most looks... Z wins 9/10! IMO Obv
  18. Unlucky, Indian. Glad you're ok. Get the insurance, and buy another Z.
  19. Hmm. so hopefully not injectors
  20. Hi guys. finally decided to get a z, thusly am joining the Z club :duffer:  :duffer: I paid using haxman69 paypal account.
  21. Hi again, have just been informed by mechanics(garage) that I have a problem with my "fuel system". I was wondering if anyone knew approx prices for supply and fit for various items, so i've got an idea if its reasonable when they call back.. Things like: Fuel pump.. ptu.. fuel rail.. and there my knowledge fails me. Any ideas?
  22. Heh. Is starting to turn into a "I hate Norton" thread. Wonder what the general consensus is? I work in IT, too, and I think it's the most cumbersome nasty thing, and its aimed at end users! weird marketing. :wack:
  23. Bantambunny has it right. Norton is a picky nasty piece of junk IMO. I would use AVG free, microsoft defender, and a hardware firewall(3com are pretty easy for home user). Never get any wanings, not once had virus or spyware, and no configuration after initial setup. Plus its all free(except firewall obv)
  24. Ok, an update. Am wary of trying to start it with possible derv in the tank, so am getting it low-loaded to CCB in guildford.. watch this space
  25. Thanks guys, will try the CPU test. Am still looking for a Z friendly mechanic in the Guildford area, just in case. Anybody got any recomendations? Oh, and BTW, will be member on payday(fri)
