Yep I did, first thing he said was do i have a figure in mind and i said no. said i would take a look and see what i can find, he said to find 3 examples :) so been looking on pistonheads some nice ones there. :) also he was looking around 60k miles cars am sure mine was half that, know it was stupidly low mileage as it never whent anywhere lol. will check when i get home.

UPDATE!!!!! Just got 'the call' and first offer was 1300 minus my excess of 350, now do i take this or hold out for more? they said this was based on lower milage cars then mine 60k on them, am sure mine was less then that!

Yep I agree to :) just picked up a 850 T5 as the 300 replacement :) love the thing to bits and good fun to drive but getting a quick pull away is half the fun, FWD it likes to just wheel spin.

Thanks Guys am all ok but still sore. still not heard from ins co. they are taking their time with it. so still have no car rental till they do agree its a write off. (have the extra cover) still no need now as the in-laws lent me the cash to get another car, picked up a nice Volvo 850 T5 :) and goes like stink!

I would but its the ins co that arranged the shop, its also the one they use and aprove. On a plus side though the collection of the car from here and taking it to them was very quick. but just dont think the shop are doing it right. As for SWM1 thats a Yes! you think i would pay someone to do something i can do myself? lol

Yeah think they are pulling a fast one! cant see how they can legaly use new 350 part prices on a 300. be like using a top of the range citron price on a 2cv lol. just want to be sure i am not being riped off, and 700quid work sounds like there is not to much damage then. really want to buy it back and a. break her as the engine was rebuild and only has about 10k max on it, infact i would say 4-5k and has never missed a beat. autobox replaced not log ago. and everything worked and evertthing was there. or b. FIX IT :D as a project.

Thats what I thought, as i called the bodyshop directly and asked them what they thought etc and he said he could not find an exact match for the 300 so used 350 prices. is this legal? i called the ins co and they said that ther assosor would see this and question them about it but i have a feeling they would not bother. Can I ask them to redo it with 300 prices by law? as at the mo its a write off. the body shop is one of the ins co's approved shops and they are doing the evaluating etc.

Hey Guys, Just been talking to the guys looking at my 300 and they say its about £700 labor but 5k in parts - HOWEVER they have used 350 parts as a guide as they cant find prices for a 300! Is that right? can they do that, thought they would need to do it like for like? have asked the ins co but they say they will look into it but dont want them to rip me off.

I may repaire her, just awaiting the ins co to see what they say, as they picked her up this morning. well their bodyshop did

TBH she was as good as gold now, all working :( rover snaped the cam belt so had to use the wifes corsa and the clutch and engine went pop on that 2 days before i was off for the wedding so was using 300 for just this week to get me by as usually the misses drives it. and this happens lol anying as i had just got it all working perfect. :(

Thanks guys, just helped load it on the ins co's lorry to take it in and he said its likly to be a gonner, oh well, just have to see what they offer me. problem is the corsa i use for work is fooked and cambelt went on the rover hence why i used the zed to get to work this week. was only ment to be till friday. so now i am broke have less then 100 quid, cant afford to buy a new car now and now have no way to get to work. LOL still i am still here so its not all bad :)

Funny enough the bootlid is fine :) even like lights on the back are :) just the panels that are bent, have another bumper in the shed. inside wing looks ok, intercooler is ok, slam panel is a little bent but thats it. the boot floor in that side though is a little bent lol

Yeah I know, old man used to do recoverys etc and i have seen some wrecks and its not nice, and not all are as lucky as me! still i can replace a car, cant replace me! dont think the wife was to happy though lol only got married on 30th lol

Oh and a side note! if i delayed anyone by closing all 4 lanes while it was cleared up, I aplogise lol, as for the traffic cop on the bridge ahead, thanks for not even calling for help! lol ended up having to call help ourselves, still the trucker was as good as gold :) we sat chatting in his cab till help came :)

Yep shes an auto! but she didnt kick down. was in the same gear all the way till the bang and hitting the second axle of the tractor unit. the bloke said i was bloody lucky as he had only just lowered it minutes before as he had a heavy load. said if it had been up she would have got hooked up and pulled under.

came up behind the artic doing 30 up the hill, pulled out to pass, got level with him and the backend just sliped out sideways. guess it was wet oily road, and 300bhp = bang!

well it finaly happend! I had a major crash and the 300 is no more. or at least I think it is! Just waiting the ins company to pick it up now should be here in the next 30 mins and only had the crash last night :o impressed with the service so far thought they would fart about getting an assessor to look at it. Whats the going rate for a 92 TT at the mo? want to make sure they dont try and rip me off! As for pics, see below! and as for what happend, well the back end broke away and i applied opisit lock, and cought it, then she whiped the other way, cought that and over cooked it and spun her 180 in the middle of the M25 in rushhour into a artic in lane 1 with the second axel of the artic driving over the front and then the back of the zed slaming into the same wheel on the artic

Well I have now spoken to him on the phone and he was going to go via insurance however I said about getting a qute and not going via the insurance company and he said he would think about it, hes actually away at the moment so can not report it till he gets back so will let me know then what he wants to do.
