ipods
I've got a 30gb video ipod and to be honest it is great! My advice would be however not to go for a video/photo ipod. The playback is awesome but I can't say I use the functionality often at all! All you need is one that plays music and as Ant says above, the flash memory on the smaller models is better as they don't jump/skip which can be a problem once you fully load up the ipod with your entire Boney M collection! As for getting music onto it, the only ways I know of are transferring frmo your computer and with the newer models, connecting to the itunes store via the ipod itself and buying the songs! There is not bluetooth/IR capability to share songs. However, if you have two ipods and a computer you can download a free software called 'Sharepod' which allows you to drag and drop songs/files from one ipod to the other whcih isn't possible normally! HTH p.s. Also, whatever you do, don't buy it online and make sure you get an extended warranty! I highly recomment currys as their aftercare is next to none! I'm on my 6th ipod in 2years (combination of drunken antics and faulty ipods!) but each time they were superb!

Grille mesh
Thanks for the quick replies! I actually went down to Halfrauds last night...terrible crap they sell there! I think a paperman-chain would look better and provide more protection! Will check out those links though. Had a look on ebay too but still just seems to be polyurethane if black....

Grille mesh
I've been searching far and wide (on t'internet!) for black chrome mesh to replace my silver steel mesh with but I'm having a tough old time finding it! The only ones I can find are matt black and made of polyurethane. I've checked the local garden centre with a view to painting the steel but the smallest diamond they have is 13mm across which wouldn't stop a small rodent to be fair! Anyone know where I can find the stuff???

MOT Test Centre
It's that time of the year and the Zed has to go in for it's annual checkup! This will be the first time I've had to take the Zed for an MOT and I'm a little aprehensive as even when I had my old Vectra I was slightly taken for a ride!! So...can anyone suggest/recommend a decent MOT test centre in the Reading/Berks area?? I've had a scour on here but there doesn't seem to be anyone closer than Bracknell... http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-mot#minimise Fingers crossed....

Northern ignorance
I do this trip quite regularly - if you don't want to burn your wallet by gunning it and take into account traffic jams which most definately will happen around Brum, then leave at least 3hours. Up to you though bud. One thing to bear in mind is where you'll be when the rush hour hits! And the route I take it M40, M42 then M6...simple as...

Huge thanks!!
As some of you might had read over ther past 2weeks my Zed's been a bit poorly :nelson: and not running (at all!). Anyways, a huge thanks to many of you on here who have helped diagnose problems  (inc. Andy Ishwerwood and Stu from Worthing!) but a special HUGE thanks to WOZZER and SILVERBULLET for driving all the way up to my place and spending a good few hours with me to fix the car!! I'm glad to say I'm back on the road (albeit with a few more upgrades to go!) and nothing has gone kaput just yet! After beating my head against a wall with not progress :headvswal I'm very very happy that there are still those out there willing to lend a hand!! Makes me very proud to be a member of the club!! Keep up the good work! :hyper: Cheers again Wozzer and Silverbullet!

Local help...URGENT
This is a big ask but if anyone is around the Reading area and able to pop over and help me fix the zed today?? A fellow member was due to come over but hasn't shown up and I can't seem to get in touch either! As per my prior posts, the ECU threw out a fuel injector code so I was planning on taking off the plenum to get at the injectors but even with the write ups, I've got no idea what I'm doing! If anyone can help or has any tips, please let me know! (07764 497597) Cheers! Or if you can recommend a decent garage that won't rip me off, as a last resort!

Injector examination
Lasty300 has agreed to kindly come over and help me get my plenum off as I'm a noob ( :hyper: ) but neither of us is quite sure what to look for re the injectors! My ECU gave a code 45: Injector leak. Should I just change out the injectors or is it likely to be something minor that will just require tightening/securing?? Does anyone have some kind of checklist that we can work through?? We're hoping to do this on saturday so would be good to get hold of something before then! Cheers...

Local help
That would be fantastic and don't mean to sound ungrateful but I'm all booked up this weekend!! Would you be able to do the weekend after by any chance (3/11/07)?? In the meantime is there anything I can do to speed up the process on the day? i.e. specific toolsm, etc? The car is sitting on my driveway at the moment so would be an 'outdoor experience' unfortunately! REALLY appreciate this!! THANKYOU! :hyper:

Local help

I'd be willing to provide refreshments and payment if asked for...! Just really want to get the car back to good health! Can anyone please help??

Local help
Hi guys, I know I've posted about this problem in the advice section but wanted to see if there is anyone local that is able to help/advise: Basically I've got a code 45: Injector leak problem but have no idea how to fix it! Is there anyone local to Reading that might be able to lend a hand or suggest a good garage that isn't going to rip my arms off?? Thanks in advance!!

Help Please!
Cheers mate, will bear that in mind but fingers crossed it won't come to that! Like I said above I have fairly limited tech knowledge so I really am hoping someone can help me fix this problem without too much trouble (or expense!).... ...really do appreciate any help guys (and girls!)....
