  1. Ony the other day I had a Bigmac meal and cheeseburger....for starters! Mains was a 3pc colonels KFC meal and desert was a big wedge of choccie cake! And that's a lot less than I used to eat! I used to train a lot at the gym...upwards of 15hrs a week...but due to injuries I've had to cut down...shame the diet hasn't gone down! God bless junk food!
  2. Thanks for all the help fellas! Turns out it was 'just the battery'! Feel a bit silly now for stressing out but the dodgy idle has been happening for a while and the Zed has been stood for much longer periods over the winter period without any problems.... ...thanks again anyways!
  3. Thanks for all the tips guys! Will try them one by one and hopefully one will fix it! Really appreciate it!
  4. Ok, fair point. I've got some jump cables so will try that first. I do have an immobiliser but it seems to be working as when the 'key' is inserted it turns frmo red to green...as usual... Will let you know how it goes but can't check today..will have to do tomorrow now. Thanks
  5. I just went out to go pick up the missus from the station and the Zed won't start. I last drove it almost 2weeks ago and it drove fine (apart from slightly erratic idle which sometimes causes the engine to stall on hard breaking). This time on turning the key, the dash lights up but then...nothing. Not even turning over. My initial thoughts are that it might be ignition related as all the lights/alarm/dash seems to be working normally so I wouldn't think it was a flat batt? After resetting the immobiliser and trying a few more times I gave up and got out but when I set the alarm, instead of arming (with two hazard flashes), it flashes once and the lights stay on without the alarm arming! What's going on??? What should I be checking? I managed to use another car tonight but I could really do with getting the Zed running by Sunday! Any advice would be gratefully received!!
  6. I decided to add a few pics together...still only managed a marginal increase in size...but I've decided to settle...its not called 'giving up' when you 'settle'...
  7. i give up....this'll do! I've managed to getit bigger in photoshop, etc...but the resolution gets quite bad...
  8. Doesn't seem to work for me either....how does everyone else manage to make it bigge and not lose clarity then??
  9. ha...clearly not...doesn't seem to be working...:(
  10. how DO you make it bigger? Mine is tiny...:(
  11. oooo....engine goodies... Front strut bar Balance bar Throttle cable cover As for interior: Plastic mouldings around targa handles Plastic end caps on targas And exterior: Front headlights And possibly (stock) window washer pump All price dependant of course...:D There may be more bits I'd have off you but can't think of any right now (half asleep!). Perhaps more pics will jog my memory....
  12. I've got RLTC fitted on mine - came fitted when I bought it (without the software disc to connect to laptop though:headvswal) but the difference when it is turned on is staggering. I leave it on all the time and only turn it off when I want to have a bit of 'fun'....excellent bit of kit! Especially as this is my first RWD...
  13. Is there some 'special' paint for this? Spray? Where would one source such a paint??
  14. Its to different extremes but its not so much the immediate family that 'disown' you. Wider family and community as a whole tends to distance themselves which is not good, especially in mine/asian communities where family and community are paramount. If you don't understand that last sentence or can't see the sense in it, then no amount of explaining will make it clearer to you. It's just how it is and no amount of claiming 'forget about others and act for yourself' will change how things work in these communities. The rules are simple...play along or risk losing it. The choice is up to the individual but the majority of the time, greater benefit is derived from staying in line....unfortunately....
  15. Cheers bud...fingers crossed eh! :(
  16. It does sound like maybe she wasn't the right one for you mate...either that or she needs time to adjust to you wanting to better yourself? I'm sure in time you will be able to be friends again....fingers crossed!
  17. I'm afraid its a little more complicated that than. I'm not sure about Indian ZX's reasons although I guess they are the same/similar but 'the family' is of the highest importance in asian families and marrying outside the circle often means you will lose the support of your family. For me, it wasn't hard work at all but in the end both me and missus decided it would be best in the long-run for us to go our separate ways due to religion and culture. I think its a concept that would be very difficult to understand in the West. Even for me, being born and raised here, it is very confusing sometimes, as my ideas conflict but I can see the logic behind it...I just hope I am doing the right thing but I guess that's life! You never really know if you are!
  18. sorry to hear mate...can sympathise with you! Me and mine are calling it quits next weekend - same reason...religion/culture, etc...not a great feeling after 3yrs! Not looking forward to it at all... Hopefully time will sort us both out eh!
  19. signed
  20. Oh really?? Not come across it before! Guess it didn't quite hit market production then??
  21. are these actually real or is it just some clever photoshop doing the email rounds?? Per email: Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show. These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires. This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology: A.) no more air valves... B.) no more air compressors at gas stations.... C.) no more repair kits... D.) no more flats... SCAN DOWN AND SEE. These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin.
  22. Personally, I think Toyota Aygo's and Yaris' are quite good value for money. They're certainlu not an Audi/VW but certainly do the job! Also Peugeot 206 is a pretty safe bet.... ....waiting to be shot down... :mac1:
  23. Have I missed it? I hope not!
