  1. Changed the side light bulbs for led's and put new center caps on my wheels.
  2. Proper ex- spurts they where:glare:.
  3. Never done this job on a Z, but jacking the back up has helped when I've change engine and box together on other cars. Use some sturdy axle stands if you do. Paul
  4. Checked the front brakes this morning, as there was a lot of brake dust on the wheels. Plenty of meat left on the pads so I cleaned the slots out on the pads and re-drilled the cross drilling on the discs and counter sunk them to stop them chewing up the pads. Will test them tomorrow. Paul
  5. Fixed the drivers side door speaker tonight, the wire had come off. Nice easy fix.
  6. I have a 180kpm speedo face fitted to my clocks, looks like this mph one would make the speedo read correctly.
  7. No need to put oil in, the converter will fill when you put oil in the box. Paul
  8. I think I just need to find a speedo face that matches the needle position.
  9. This still has a kph face on the clocks.
  10. I would stick to hi tensile Mark, stainless has a tenancy to pick on the threads and has low tensile strength. Paul
  11. Hi Mark, at the moment the clocks are reading about 20mph to much, I think the clocks that are fitted need a speedo converter or does it need a different speedo face Paul
  12. ok, thanks for the replies, will fit them and see what happens. tomomomtana I will keep your offer in mind. Thanks Paul
  13. Having some issues with the speedo on the car, I have the clocks from my 94TT will they fit a 95 N/A and work ok. cheers Paul
  14. Well that's cleared that up then, thanks Noz:huh:
  15. It's far from Dave, I've got lots of work to do including a full respray and a 99spec front bumper with one of your lips fitted, not sure if that will happen this year. It's at least three shades of red lol. Thanks for the comments. Paul
  16. Today I finished the drivers side roof bar and washed her, went for a drive into town to get some T cut, stopped for a quick pint a my local and came home and touched up some paint on the body work. Next job will be to give the wheels a coat of looking at. Took some pictures, looks ok from a distance. Paul
  17. I appear to be up and running so if anyone wants to meet up in the Kent area let me know, have a nice pub local to me call the Fenn Bell on the Hoo Peninsular. Paul
  18. That will be it then Mark, my other Z was a TT Auto. Cheers Paul
  19. Might need to find a way of making the exhaust a bit quieter, Paul
  20. Thanks Mark, just sounded like it was over revving a bit, might be the noise of the exhaust making it sound like it's over revving. Paul
  21. Can anyone tell me what rpm at 70mph should a Manual N/A be doing, my rev counter is showing 3000 rpm, that seems a little high to me. Cheers Paul
  22. Took my car for it's first drive today, having been sat for six months on my drive. Temps and pressures seem to be fine, the brake disc's have cleaned up nicely and are working great, a few small jobs to do and may be one big one, that being a new ring gear. I will take the starter motor out and see whats going on inside the gearbox housing, and I still need to do something about the exhaust being so loud, other than that I'm a happy camper. Paul
  23. I agree with Yowser and Richard. Paul
  24. I insured my Zed today, ready for the weekend, Paul
