  1. had a look in the bright today, could spot any burst pipes (im sure it must be somewhere) will the engine need to come out to do replace the pipe in the area circled or is it easy enof to do it with the engine in also any ideas how to clean the coolant thats got onto the belts etc (too tight to get hands into) doesnt seem to be any electrical components where the coolant is so if i was to cover the electrical bits i should be able to pressure wash it?
  2. any idea how i can get the coolant off it, its quite messy on the belts, i had a look and the belt beside the big fan was covered in it also seems quite hard to get to with hands
  3. would a pressure washer thing get rid of the coolant, the coolant is brown and sludgy was thinkin of sprayin it on the problem area, then dry the ptu?
  4. water pump was replaced a few months back so it sounds like a pipe, i had a fiddle around the area and couldnt seem to find it, was dark tho what is a ptu and is it easy to clean?
  5. when i say cut out, when i was slowing down to a crawls pace the steering became very stiff not 100% sure if engine switched off
  6. parked car, heard a hissing opened bonnet and steam its pissin out coolant the coolant is brown and sludgy (head gasket is fine, its been brown for a while just never flushed it out and cars driven fine and not overheaten) i cant pinpoint where its steaming but know the area but the car cut out on me, it does start but after 30secs starts to steam up and would probs cut out lots of coolant has got on the big fan at the front and the belts its comin from here
  7. lol didnt know that i didnt have it on D i used 1, then changed to 2 manually, thats the fastest way?
  8. at lights today, the zed was quite a bit faster, didnt even have the power setting on and still was a fair bit ahead. spoke to him at the next set of lights, he was impressed. i was quite surprised at the decent start he got, but after a few secs he was in my mirrors :) the 15 year old pensioner can still cut the mustard.

  12. make a spare toad alarm fob as i only have one is their a way to programme a random one to the car (i used to have a focus which u could program any key if a certain combo was done with the ignition/key)
  13. the way the zeds are selling you will be lucky to get 2000 on ebay if you mention the problems keep it till the weather is good then sell it

  18. was bored and was doing some reading on here, apparantly a lot of the zeds are running in safety mode without people knowing also read that cars with seperate boost valves/controllers dont get knocked into safety mode (also has been chipped) can anyone confirm this before i do an ecu check, i cant see how my car can be because it feels scary when thrashed

  20. well im just gettin the leak fixed as im selling it just before the summer ends this year, im 19 and the insurance petrol is a killer but i love the car
  21. taxi'ing it, is gettin sorted tomororw, hopefully its only the small pipe thats leaking
  22. dont have bike lol, im gonna tape the pipe up with some black tape, see if i holds it at all
  23. ye i only want to drive it a few miles to the gym lol im gettin it sorted tomorrow was wantin to make sure i wouldnt do any damage, the car is gushing out water tho dont think its stayin in there long
  24. the lime circle is the problem area their is a pipe thats burst, is it an easy fix, its only water thats leaking can i drive it for a small period of time without belting it without water?
