  1. Had a twin exit on mine when I got it and didn't like it at all, almost to the point of wanting to sell the car, then I saw an hks superdrager for much cheapness on eBay and remembered the sound that made on my n/a so I snapped it up, fitted it and loved the car again, twin exits only sound nice if they have a X-pipe, I do love the single but admit makes the car look odd, IMHO the seperate system twins sound terrible, bit like having two 3 cylinder corsa engines
  2. You shouldn't have any water in the induction system
  3. Problem is the MAF is so far from the turbos, it will also depend on the induction kit and the amount of boost, a hard pipe kit might help as the rubber hoses will absorb some noise, I'm running a large hks filter and 1 bar boost through gt2530's and you can certainly here them spin up when I boot it
  4. I'm running hks gt2530's, spool up nice and quick and the car pulls hard right through the rev range,1 bar boost, standard engine and injectors, Decat, hks superdrager exhaust, larger side mount intercoolers, unsure on power but with full interior and other crap 1/4 mile was 13.1 seconds (same as Ferrari 360 modena) and this was with the old dying engine, I get the car back Saturday then it's going on a r/r to make sure it's running 100% then it's getting put on the strip
  5. nice motors these, shame how everybody with a BMW gets tarred with the same brush though, I remember being behind one of these in the zed, had his girlfriend in the passenger seat, cocky tw@t waved bye bye to me and put his foot down so a let him get a few car lengths away and dropped a gear, he had to pull over quite sharpish  turns out he's a used car salesman at a plot near my house, I had went in for a look around and when i got back to the car him and a colleague were having a look round my car so i asked what he was doing and he explained who he was, seemed a decent bloke even admitted my car was "bloody quick"
  6. Suppose we will just have to see what happens =)
  7. Just do a YouTube search on rear mounted turbo and one of the first bids will be a 350z on the rollers claiming 500+bhp, there's a flyby clip too and it's defo not 500+bhp but it sounds awesome none the less
  8. I've been running 1 bar with standard injectors at max flow for over a year and a half, but I'm talking the engine itself, standard from the factory, from manifolds in-over, how far can I push it AND maintain a reliable horsepower, with other parts uprated, I.e. injectors, turbos, intercoolers, induction
  9. Oh and headgaskets are standard too, lol so am guessing headgaskets will go before bottom end does, can headgasket be done with the engine still in the car or if it blows should I just leave it till I have the cash for a rebuild? Has nobody actually pushed their engines to the limit or am I going to set a new benchmark? I've heard of headgaskets blowing on standard boost but this could also be down to poor maintenance or mapping
  10. just read it myself mate seems like a decent conversion, thinking of doing my lasses bmw lol only vid of a nissan i can find on youtube is a 350z, sounds good though!
  11. really i mean pistons and rods, I was thinking of 555's or even 740's because I'm saving for a forged rebuild, just wondering what it could handle till then
  12. any vids of this car about? I'm dying to hear it! B)
  13. from the information I've read on this site the "safe" limit for a standard vg is 1bar boost and around 400bhp, is anybody running more than this? I'm asking because my next mod powerwise will be bigger injectors and a remap to suit, I'm already running hks gt2530's and larger intercoolers so running more boost shouldn't be a problem but could the engine take it? I'm probably opening a can of worms here but want to know if anybody is running above the norm
  14. He shouldn't be doing it on the rollers due to you having a limited slip diff, he should be doing a decelerometer test instead, sounds like your tester hasn't got a clue to be honest.
  15. I just woke my dog up laughing at this thread  DO IT!
  16. Will be next weekend when I pick the car up from zedworld =) 200 mile drive home then keep going till me pockets are empty
  17. Personally I would listen to peoples advice but if I wanted it I would do it, is that nose panel custom or is it available to buy?
  18. Just an advisory mate
  19. At the end of the day mate it's your car and your choice if YOU like it then go for it.
  20. Regards mot I was always told ALL imports no matter what age had to be given the pre-cat emissions test
  21. Mine crunches if you try and change gear quickly, bit of a pain on the 1/4 mile, I'm only running around 400bhp
  22. really like this bumper alot, even tempted to sell my genuine stillen item to buy one and I hate to say it because I normally hate modified nose panels but that is the only one I have seen and liked enough to actually want, only if I got that bumper though, where did you get the nose panel? and does anybody know any companys that sell that bumper in plastic or anything stronger than fibreglass?
  23. had an email saying mine will be done for the 19th :cool3: if i start walking now a reckon al get there in time
  24. Am sure everything will be fine mate fingers crossed here for you too
