  2. fry1 i think i spoke to your brother outside halfrauds at the silverlink, I was topping my oil up and a bloke came over saying his brother had just stuck the same engine into a 200, small world!
  3. I did this not long ago rushing to go and pick the girlfreind up from work, I'd been having a lazy day off just laying round the house in shorts then realised I was going to be late, stuck a t-shirt on pulled me shorts off and grabbed the closest thing to me which just happened to be a pair of jeans, pulled em on....zzzzzzip, owwwwwwww!!!!! had to just brave it and pull the zip back down, no blood but god it hurt!!!
  4. thanks for the help everybody :D

  6. I've just txt him asking what numbers are on the belt, he replied with: 70-QB14-2 A1720-F6600 4PK1040 any of these make sense?
  7. want one!! can you get petrol powered models too?!
  8. hope somebody can help here, a lad along the road from me knocked on me door the other week asking if a knew a good mechanic as his fan/alternator belt had come off so I told him to pop along with the car tomorrow as it was lashing down and I had been drinking, the next night he brought the car along and said he would just leave it with me as he wasn't in any hurry to have the car back as he was going home to liverpool for the weekend so I thought great I'll leave it till sunday and do it at work in the dry and with a lift. so, whipped the other belts off, put the new belt round the crank, alternator and fan/water pump pulleys, tightend it up to the full adjustment and it was still slack? so I rang liam (names liam, drives a red 300zx tt and lives in me street! madness!) and he said he had asked nissan for a fan belt which on his behalf is correct but its too long? are there different length belts for different years? I gave him the belt back and sent him back to nissan armed with the correct model, reg and chassis number and they still say its the correct belt? its standard apart from a set of volk racing wheels so no underdrive pulleys, its a J reg import tt can anybody confirm the part no? pleeeeeeeease as its stuck at work and my gaffers gettings on me tits about it, i even went to halfrauds but they had nothing listed or anything close to the belt provided by the dealers.
  9. single exit all day long, yea the Z doesnt look quite right with the emptiness on the other side but thats easily sorted, I loved my twin exit, 3" system from tubs back but then doing the house up started getting pricey so I started toying with the idea of selling the Z to fund some stuff for the house then I spotted an HKS super drager on ebay for £150 and bit the blokes hand off remembering my first Z having one so had to hear it again and ohhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyyy gooooooooooooood what a sound!! totally changed the way I looked at and felt about the car, instantly decided it was staying and soon after selling my uk auto tt I bought some nice wheels for it :D
  10. a knowwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!! shut up!!!!
  11. R.I.P. I had everyone ready to kill me at work today after shouting NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at the top of my voice for about 5minutes.
  12. am 24, had me first Z when I was 20, am payin 1750 tpft, zero no claims, wheels and zorst declaired, cd10 ban from 2005, 9 speeding points from 2004
  13. lol dont worry i trust him bud a didnt think you would let my car go to a numpty, just need to get the cash together, aaaaaaaarrrrrrgh am soooooo impatiant lol just bought that 3litre AC schnitzer lump for the beemer too so that cash would of helped :headvswal was thinking about selling the beemer to fund it but al need something quicker than me golf tdi to keep me happy while the Z is off the road
  14. cant remember off the top of me head but he's from down your way, built a few engines for vine place apparantly, a think he's from seaham but could be wrong

    welcome bud
  17. exactly ;) lol obviously will speak to him first about what he will actually do to check the bores etc for damage but he's supposed to know what he's doing and just does it as a hobby from home from what I've heard. eagle rods, wiseco pistons and upgraded flywheel+clutch while engine is out, next on the list 555's :D I've applied for a new job so hopefully shouldn't take too long if i get it :hyper: already have larger smic's and hks gt2530's so will 450fwhp be a good guess?
  18. I knew it was going to need an engine rebuild but was hoping it wouldn't be this soon =( a mate of a mate who has just built an 800bhp skyline has offered to take the engine out and change the pistons and rods plus bearings etc for £800 plus parts which sounds rather reasonable, a know you pay for what you get nut I've heard of a few other engines he's built so he must have a good idea what he's doing
  19. havn't drove the car for a few days as I noticed a rattling sound coming from the engine that rises and drops with engine revs, not a light tappety sound a deeper tap from within the engine, seems to be best heard if held at around 2k while the engines warm, while its cold it isnt as loud which doesnt make sense to me because the engines cold so shouldn't there be more play until the engines up to temperature?
