Didn't buy it from Luke M8. Was borrowing the pic' just to show the exact type of bumper. Probably should have made that clearer. (Sorry Luke).

Dump Valves & Dodgy Idle
Blocking the holes has solved the problem with the idle  Car still seems to be going better too, odd, perhaps there was a problem with the origional recirc DVs. Oh well, not complaining about that. :)

Dump Valves & Dodgy Idle
Going to do that in the morning m8. I've heard that some DV's can cause idle problems but never seen it first hand b4.

Dump Valves & Dodgy Idle
Thought it may be something like that. Could this be the cause of the lumpy idle ?

"Redline Water Wetter, how much?
Never used it but my M8 swears by the stuff.

Dump Valves & Dodgy Idle
Hello again all. I fitted my VTA dump valves today, simply replaced the recirc's with piston type VTA's but I didn't plug the holes in the induction tubes which the recircs vent too...... Now, since fitting the car seems to be going MUCH faster the when accelerating ?? I don't consider that the dump valves alone are causing this so could this be due to the car getting more air flow through the openings in the intake ? ALSO (the bad bit), the idle has gone to pot.. The rev's move up and down between about 800 (where it used to sit nicely) and about 300 when it seems like it will stall. Could this be due to the holes in the induction too?? Also 2, will my car now be running lean as the holes mean that the maf is giving a low reading, IYKWIM ?? Please help :(

Vibration
Hmm, Thanks. I'll give t5he tyre place a ring

Vibration
Yet another confusing little problem. lol. I had two new fromt tyres fitted the other day and since then I've noticed a amount of vibration through the steering wheel. It was only a little at first but seems to be getting steadily worse. I've checked all the wheel nuts and they are all nice and tight. The vibration is worse at speed, the steering wheel seems to going 'left, right, left, right but only slightly if you know what I mean. The problem was not there b4 new tyres fitted and the tracking and rear camber were all done last week at Protyre. Does anyone know what my be causing this plz ???

Uneven Tyre Wear
I've been told that the Camber Arms is the same fitting as the S13, Does anyone know whether that is right plz ??
-
Uneven Tyre Wear
Which was it M8 ?
-
Uneven Tyre Wear
Not to my knowledge M8.

Uneven Tyre Wear
Had a look at my front tyres today and they are not well ! The inside edge of both front tyres is completely warn down (to the white !!) but the outer edges are OK. Is this caused by tracking or camber please and if camber is there a way to adjust it as standard or do I have to buy something to do it ?? Wheels fitted are 18"s by the way.Need to get new tyres ASAP and don't want them going like these. :(

Bodykit Fitting Costs
A M8 of mine has a body shop and he just fitted a basic kit to a Z. he quoted £500 to spray and fit and said that he never wants to see one again. lol. The lad had bought a cheap kit costing about £450 for the front and rear bumpers and the 2 side skirts (UK TT 2+2) and it simply didn't fit at all. The skirts were not only too long but also molded the wrong shape so that they caught the bottoms of the doors, The rear bumper was designed to fit over a Jap style rear, his is a UK car, it wa also not quite wide enough and a bit too short so sort of bends in the rear quarter pannel. The front of the car had to be seriously cut and modded as did the new front bumper as it didn't fit at all, not even close..... Doesn't really help with fitting prices but keep it in mind when choosing a kit, a cheap one may work out very expensive in the long run so go for a good one and make sure that it's made for your model car, not just a Z32. ;)

dump valves
I like Blitz but Tuebo XS are ther loudest there is.

De-catting TT
Yes, that's the ones M8. So it isn't the fitters fault then, (lol, worth a try)..
-
De-catting TT
Sorted, thanks. The guy who fitted them pointed out to me that one of the pipes is a bit short and will not connect to the rear section of the exhaust !! This is not a major problem as I have the car booked in to have custom pipework made for the rest of the exhaust and was simply going to get the guys to make one section 1/2 inch longer. If the fitter had fitted the turbo elbows on the wrong sides would this account for this ?? Or is that not posible ???
-
what do i get
Once it's in it's in M8 and you just slot your chip into it. You can change/remove the chip any time and just slot in another so you could have various maps on diferent chips if you wanted. :)

De-catting TT
Does anyone have Megan Racing turbo elbows fitted ? I could do with knowing if the standard sensors will screw into the holes in them ??
-
Boost Jets????
Car is running great. Well it was till the De-cat thing anyway. I had problems with safety boost but corrected itself the next day. Did m8's car too after mine and his did the same but his boost is a bit lower than mine, with the same jets ! Boost is stable at just under 14 PSI and the ignition is advanced slightly with no detting any thing. (You got me worried about the Lambda sensors now though, lol).
-
De-catting TT
There are threaded holes in the new Turbo elbows but they must be the wrong thread or something as the fitter didn't fit them. The sensors and wires are still in the old(origional) turbo elbows. Didn't look closely but think he cut the wires. How come the Air fuel is showing as 'optimal' and the guages are working better ? Is this to do with the closed loop ?
-
Boost Jets????
Just buy a bag of 1mm welding tips M8. Far cheaper than buying proper boost jets and do the same thing. If you look at the car from the front there are 4 quite large IC pipes, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. The ones you want are the inside 2. there are 2 smaller tubes that fit into these pipes (fitting located underneath sortof hidden a bit). Just pull these small tubes off, they may be VERY stuck, mine were, and push one of the tips/jets into each tube then replace the tubes. I found it easier to remove the IC pipes first so you can see what you're doing better. Do a search as there's a good fitting guide with picy's floating around somewhere but can't remember where. hope that helps M8.

De-catting TT
Just De-catted my J spec TT today and removed the heat and Lambda sensors as they don't fit the new pipes...B4 I did this the car was running rich and my Air/Fuel gauges were all over the place most of the time. Now the guages are stable and the the Air/Fuel ratios are showing as Optimal ?? Is this meant to happen and if so why plz ? Thanks.

Boost jets?
I don't think you 'have to' but I would for resons mentioned by Greg. Speak to Andy P, and I believe others on here do them too.
