Hi Paul. It's Mike that you spoke to abou the other car. He removed the steering wheel as it was put on wrong when he had it re-covered, wasn't straight. He put it back on in the corect position and now the light is on :( . Do you reckon this will need re-setting mate ? Phil.

My mate has just removed and replaced his steering wheel (to correct positioning) and now the airbag light is on / flashing. Does anyone know why this would be please, is there something that he missed. Car is a 93 TT J spec auto TT so no cruise controll or anything on the wheel. Thanks in advance :)

Can anyone tell me the width of the front bumper at it's widest point. I think this is at the top of the bumper wher it meets the wing to form the wheel arch (sort of thing) and also the width of the bumper at the bottom part of the wheel arch please ? Repairing a bumper and need to get the width right. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks mate but it was a thing on actually reupholstering them, not seen it for ages though. It showed refitting the leather etc :confused:

I noticed today that I have a loose wire hanging down behind the front bumper on the drivers side of the car.... This used to be attached to a small black electrical box thingy that was in turn attached to the plastic protector / cover coming under the car from the wheel arch. Does anyone know what it is and what it does plz ? ( The black box has been ripped off and gone :-( ) Thanks in advance (again).

Hi all. About 2 days ago my car began to splutter when started up, searches for idle and won't go well till warm. It did the same today too. Runs great when warmed up but is a real dog when first started.... Does anyone know what could be causing this. It has done this once before but just the once then been ok. I got this and it was wheel balancing. (spelling ?) Not alignment, the actual balancing weights had come off the inner rim of the wheel. Defo worth a try IMO as it's cheap to fix. :)

Car gets serviced every couple of thousand miles, I like to keep on top of things and my M8 owns a garage :) I only have to pay parts / consumables. I get the oil for about £24 a gallon if I remember right.

oil for older engines. Don't know how true this is but I was told not to use this as can clog the turbo oil feed pipes (or somthing like that)...

Valvoline 5-5o fully synthetic. Changed every couple of thousand miles :cool:

Been looking on fleabay but no joy. Are there any 'universal' type that will fit ok without looking cheap nasty ?
