window tints
Well I must say I have seen a few tinted windows but the job that I had done on mine is 2nd to none. It's excellent. 100% perfection and very very professional. I only paid £150 for limo tinted rear screen and quarters and 35% tint on front door windows. I'm not sure if the guy is still available, but if my contact is reading this and he is (you know who you are ;) ), give jock a shout :D.

gear noise
Yep, as Vijay says this is definately your problem. The upper lip of the two section rubber boot has come away, there for when ever you are in 2nd 4th or reverse you will pull at it causing the boots to pull apart. You will need to take your center consol off. but before you do, try driving in 2nd or 4th and pressing down on the area above the gear stick, if the noise disapears then this is the problem. Center consol is easy to take off. Have a look here for instructions of how to remove it http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/Transmission.htm

Can't start won't start
Yes, that's true. But the garage I took it to to check the timing did strip it down and check the timing and said it was spot on. But even if the time had slipped a took on one side, the timeing would be out through the rev range and not just at idle wouldn;t it. So even if the timing wasn't checked (which is was) it would be safe to say that because the lumpy idle (especially when cold)doesn't replicate itself after about 1.5k rpm it's nout to do with the timing would it not ?

Can't start won't start
Compression tests tell you you've got a problem Cylinder leakage tests tell you what the problem is :D The Cylinder leakage test that PaulC did pointed to the inlet valves.

Can't start won't start
Hi Jeff, the belt was changed by yourself when I first got the car back in November. I have had the belt/timing checked recently and it is spot on. The crank angle sensor is reading 15 Degrees via my conZult. The low compression is on Cylinders 2,3,5 so it's just wear and tear I guess. The compression ranges from 150 down to 110. so looks like the replacement and reseating of the valves will fix the problems and hopefully increase the performance of the car. I do like to drive hard but I think the problem existed before I even got the car.

Clifford AvantGuard 4?
Yep I got one. I must say it confuses the absolute shit out of me at times mate. The blackjack is a PITA as well but I gues with all these security features it has comes extra buttons and combinations lol. I've had it for two months and only just learnt how to put it in Vallet mode lol. The cliffnet software is a PITA as well as you can't use it with XP :( so I need to somehow get a 98 laptop to config it how I want it).

Does it happen when you brake ? If so... could be warped discs or tension bushes or only when you reach a certain speed. ? if so looks like the wheel balancing or maybe the bearing Can you drive through it ? deffo the wheel balancing

Can't start won't start
Right guys, Looks like it wasn't a dodgy T-pot or ECU problem after all. I put John-boys Stock Manual ECU in last week and it seem to sort the problem out, however on Saturday this week the problem reared it's ugly head once again, still with the stock ECU and chip in place. So I'd like to make a formal appology to Chris C. Seems like his T-pot was spot on after all and it was a different problem. I know I have low compression on 3 cylinders due to inlet valves and PR at SE has mentioned that this is the likely cause of the problem. My car is booked in for 30th August for new valves all round, so we'll see then. Once again appologies to Chirs C for any damage to his unblemished reputaion I may have caused. He's still a camp fvcker though :D
