I`ve got mices in my house what should I do?? kill, burn, let live?
Use peanut butter in the mouse trap. Also it's worth knowing that any gap you can fit a pencil, the mice can also fit. It's all very well catching them, but they will return unless you find the entrance point and seal it up (expanding foam and no nails works good).

U.s bhp vs U.k
The figures quoted for the max BHP on stock components are intended for everyday driving, rather than a put it on the dyno and see what the highest number we can get is. I mean the 499RWHP was probably running race fuel and running at 100% max on it's tubs. If we were to set up our cars for max BHP with race fuel rather than our everyday driving and 98 ron. I think our figures would also be significantly higher. In terms of difference between UK and US dyno's - none that I know of. Difference in terms of BHP - none, it's all worked out the same. Difference in the way we prepare the car before the dyno - This is where the difference is.

Reinstalling XP
I'm having some issues. I've never reinstalled XP on my PC since I had it, probably about 6 - 7 years now. it's a 2.1Ghz dual core with 1Gb ram so good enough for what I need it for. I decided to reinstall windows as it was getting a bit slow. Backed up all my data onto a 1Tb external drive and made sure I had everything. Put the XP disc in and booted from it. Deleted the existing partition and created a new 32Gb partition (for XP and Apps) leaving a partition of 218Gb. It formatted the disc, created the partitions and started copying the files. It then told me that it could not copy OLE32.DLL and asked me if Iwanted to retry or skip. I retried 3 times and then skipped. Same again with OLEAUT32.DLL, tried 3 times and skipped. All other files copied ok. System finished installing and restarted, then it bluescreened with the following: STOP: C000021a {Fatal System Error } The windows Logon Process system Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000080 (0x00000000 0x00000000). The system has been shut down. I tried rebooting, tried recovering and tried again from scratch but it always had problems with the two files above and always gave me the error above. I also tried to go into the repair XP option choosing c:\windows to repair but it then asked me for the administrator password. I tried blank, password and admin and then got booted out because it was wrong on all three accounts. Any Ideas what I can do to get going again. I have another PC right next to it so downtimes not an issue.

4 years since I last drove my Z :(
It's a bug..... I'm always looking at 300zx's for sale and many a times I've found myself restraining myself from buying back silverstreak when it's been up for sale (even now). I think it's been two years now since I've driven a 300xz. If I were to get another I would get silverstreak back as I know the car inside out.

Heys guys, Bhp advice
Big BHP is all well and good but can be very laggy until you hit spool up. If you balance and lighten right then you are going to see some magic. While the engine is out get it blueprinted and blanced from pulley, crank through to flywheel. Remove excess flashing from the block and water channels to improve cooling. Recon the lifters and do a nice three way valve job with a port and polish. Lightweight flywheel, lightweight underdrive & pulley kit, remove viscous and change to electric & maybe even a carbon prop. These small but significant changes will see that rpm needle free up drastically. 0 - 7k - 0 rpm free revving in a blink of an eye. This was what was aimed for on Silverstreak. I wasn't going for big BHP at all, in fact I was aiming for around 450 but with torque and spool to match. The fact that it was pushing out over 550bhp with similar torque after the remap on 530bb tubs and nismo 555cc injectors jsut goes to show it's not all about bolting big turbos on.

Car back from Custom Exotics
ChrissyP, Now there's one part of his car that you don't see on any other 300zx. The Dash.. Absolutely amazing. If you can get permission from him to post up some pictures of it, then I'm sure everyone will be very happy to see it. I won't spoil the surprise but I believe a small handful of peeps here have probably already seen it a few years back when he was more active.

New PC options
I'm starting to look at a new PC. I want something good but it's not used for gaming so doesn;t have to be top of the range. I've still got all the flat sceen monitors, keyboards, mouse etc at home so only really need the barebone PC. The PC will probably be most stessed when rendering video's but apart from that it's just normal usage. What do you guys think of this set up ? bmw fail
Fooking 8" of snow fell in about an hour where I was on Saturday. I was stuck in loughton pushing cars up the hills (i.e. all queueing up to get up it). When it came to my turn, everyone was expecting the M5 to be spinning and sliding all over the place but I'd already fitted the chains (on the BACK wheels). I didn't even need a push :)

Shud I let him???
If you already have the car and are happy with it then you have no issues whether you oblige or not. Depends if you are one of these people that either doesn't give a shit, or is happy to help others.
