  1. No I dont think so, the v8 was dropped because it was unfashionable, they felt since everyone else was a smaller displacement forced induction they had to go that way. Obviously unles ive misunderstood the skyline 4wd system theres got to be a front diff and drive shafts coming out of the front of the gearbox? It would just be the most epic job to do even if it would fit! Do they have a transfer box? Im not really that clued up on them tbh!
  2. Teg it is then! LOL To be fair I was impressed with TEG, nice chaps and always happy to chat. We did mention them before, heres a report from a local "club" (to be fair its a few guys i know and the forum has died on its arse) im in and we had an RR day there last year. http://www.directionalperformance.com/rollingroad.php?showtopic=405
  3. Haha, no i've been very quiet of late. Often reading but not replying, until i captured me a good zed!
  4. I Dont think there is enough space. It doesnt mention in one of my zed books that although it was considered it would have caused the cars bonnet line to be a few inches higher, which was not acceptable there for the idea was quite rightly scrapped!
  5. Okay, start thread for interest into a 2010 dyno day. Location and date all still to be confirmed. Thought it would be easier to start a new one than trying to pick up from the October attempt! People add their thoughts here: For Locations we have: (So far) Dyno Demon - Neston (where we had the last one) TEG- Carnforth TDI North - Warrington (Although decided they cant take autos, perhaps they'll change their mind?) Rik Woods in Stockport For dates: Anytime for me would probably be okay far too early to tell!
  6. lol havnt got that far! As you can tell i've only just done that, need to get some meets organised this year! Just my work limits me quite alot. (Can't you all tell i've been working from home all week with my constant forum presence!)
  7. What time do you start work Jeff ;) 9:03??!

  9. Right Guys. Should we get this fired up again? Now i've got a zed thats runnning proper boost. I'd like to get her on the rollers and see whats what. Obviously TEG at carnforth is the most handy for me! But miles from anyone else I would expect. Chris, if you've got things underway i'll shut up but let me know if I can assist.
  10. Then its worth the risk!
  11. Buy a 1996 Corsa 1.4 vegas.... Which my sister has which is currantly the only vehicle we can use on the drive! My astravan is f'in useless. As is dads 745i, mums 523i (been that long since we used it it'll probably not start) and my M3, and the 300zx? Well thats just a laughing stock! After being dragged arse first for 1/4 mile the other day much to some very bemused walkers amazement! To add to this my mates T reg 1.6 astra doesnt have issues either... Obviously you and I know that its narrow tyres that do the trick, very annoying though!
  12. Lol, good effort pete! Did it come with your bus pass? ;) On a more serious note i cleared and gritted a few drives around my grandmothers the other week and sorted the end of the road where she lives as its fairly steep and was just made of sheet compacted ice. So 9 at night bag of grit salt and a spade... throw some grit chip it up.. throw some grit chip it up... I was knackered by the end of it!
  13. love the fact its an auto aswell! Sensible daily drive!
  14. Yeah I know, but if you put in the tyre size it comes up with "NA" in the Autosock size box as there isnt one to fit the tyre.
  15. Ah very cool! Not seen pics of that either. Will have a butchers
  16. oh! Was looking on that ebay listing at the size chart and it topped out at 255/35/18 or so :s ned 275/35/18!
  17. Very impressive! Although wont go big enough for my tyres!
  18. Ahh fair enough! Still cant be far off! Pity there wont be any pics of it, sounds a nice thing!
  19. Ahh i see! That'd be why then! I was thinking about this before. Could N943 CCF be the newest slicktop TT manual in the country?
  20. Oh right cool! Mine does have ABS though, im pretty sure you said yours didnt?! Beermonster I would say its further back :s Or at least the seat back incline can go futher back with the seats at their full back position?
  21. Exactly! I rather like it! Might have a matching pair ;) Mines almost as basic as yours mate! Don't think its a version S, but it has manual heating and no cruise!
  22. Ah dear mate, dont need anymore power in this weather! Hope your okay and the car isnt too badly damaged.
  23. Ah well, it was a while ago now, back in 2007! I'll know to bend em back for next time!
  24. Aye I know, I had to discuss with my self for a while to work out if it was a slicktop or not! I Dont think they know what they have if truth be told!
