I'l be honest, you'll never match an Evo 9 FQ-300 with a zed unless its running BIG power! My auto's 0-60 was about 6.3, that was from a standing start no revs etc. If you hold it on the brakes and let the car slip against the Autobox then you'll perhaps get a better start. An Automatic 300zx's party piece though is its kickdown at motorway speeds, floor it at 70 and the kickdown into 3rd is just awesome right round to enough to get you very very banned in one gear!

looking at it, id say it would probably still drive okay? Is there much bent steering/suspension wise?

i suspect a boot full to get out into a different lane, is it an auto?? If so thats the first kick down casualty of the year!

you#ll have to be carefull if your givin it te beans, especially in hot weather! V-Power is 99, i think Optimax (back in the day!) was 98. Always run mine on v power apart from the other day when i wa forced to put some horrifically expensive bp ultimate in because shell had a tanker in for more time than the earth has ever had! Feels rubbish on that with my mines chip :(

The autobox was a no cost option i believe, especially on the later models. Cant remember about the other options, i've got some original brochures somwhere so i'll dig those out and have a look.

Are you sure?? Because my rear plate is just a little different the front... :s Whoever told me the sizes were wrong because the rear doesnt fit....! Well, ive made it fit but it required subtle modification to the bumper and a considerable amount of swearing!

I'll be honest, my zed looks mint without any plates at all... Might just leave em off and see how long it takes for me to get pulled. Looks very clean on the back end! I know what your saying Si, thought id give them ago just incase - if they are shit i'll just bin em.

Throw us a bone to get started on?? Does the cars stock boost gauage work? If so what does it go to? Does it have a boost guage anywhere else, if so what does that go to? If its running standard boost then it'll be not much different to stock - assuming the rest of the engine is in good condition. If its running 16psi + then it should be 350bhp+ (At the fly) Also the state of the ECU is very important, i take it that youve just bought this car and dont know much about it?

i dont think its the VVT as thats the variable valve timing, not the ignition timing? The VVT operates when the engine goes over certain revs, like hondas vtec (YO!)

lol, i rather like them. Much better than the discoloured broken things that are on there at the moment. Or i should say what were on there, since ones already dropped off. I'll see what they are like in the flesh, if they are crap i'll just get some made up at halfords - wernt expensive!

there should be a fan running from startup? the electric fan is auxillary incase the viscous fan hasnt enough power to cool the engine. Target running temperature is about 80*c i believe.

You dont live in the north do you?? LOL Nothing is ever open on a sunday! let alone some place that might be usefull! Besides, cant really get there very well with no rear plates nor am i supposed to use the van and they wont make me up some cool plates with a nissan badge on it!

Yeah... i hope so mine does it as well... Now im going to sound stupid now, is this the ignition timing? As in at what point through the cycle the ptu tells te coils to generate power for the plugs to ignite the fuel/air mixture?

Does anyone know the sizes for standard numberplates, i presume the front one on mine is a standard UK one, but the rear it the Jap square one... Now i could go outside and measure it but A: im too lazy, and B: Its raining.... :D So doesnt anyone know so i can order some new ones - mine are totally ruined!
