The cost is relative to the place you use and its up to you to decide whether thats reflected in the job or you're just getting good value for money! (yeah, I know, how are you supposed to tell!) I would ask about and get as much info as poss. Luke @ Z Centre also has his own bodyshop, well one he uses to fit and spray any kits he sells.
  3. Shaunmac........ I had the EXACT same symptoms as prop shaft bearing but it turned out to be the rear steering arm bush. A pretty quick way of checking is to jack up the car, leave the wheel on and see if you can wobble it from side to side, kinda left to right, not up and down, if you know what I mean.
  4. Looks really nice Chris! what shifer is that?
  5. Looks good Jock. I like the centre dash bit sprayed up, what paint is that? Would like to see a pic of that back in.........wait for it to dry first though! LOL Are you going to spray the window switches?
  6. Was going to RTTS in THIS but its not happening now! Shame. Not much place for a Z down there, its supposed to be a VW event but in recent years has been taken over by the Nova and Cavalier boys. No class. :(
  7. You gonna post back on here Dave? I'll keep an eye out!

You got it! If its a pic of your car you could upload onto RIDES and then take it from there!
  9. How about a pic with them attached in the engine bay? ............you know you want to. ;)
  10. Jock...........and you haven't got coolant pissing out anywhere? Have you checked your levels lately?
  11. Well, you can post in the "For sale & wanted" section LOL. And it opens up other sections, like 'Fight club', 'Road kills' and others. I suppose its really more to do with if you like it here and want it to continue-then its just helps to secure the forums future.........thats why I paid up tbh........and you do get a better sense of belonging to some nutcase, maniac club! ;) :p :D

  17. Hiya mate. Well this will definately be your heater matrix! And unless your pretty handy with the old tools it is a job you should get someone else to do.....the thing is, it is very labour intensive so will be expensive, from memory SE charge about £600. So that may or may not persuade you to have a go yourself. Do yourself a favour though and get your matrix from Courtesy Nissan, it is alot cheaper from them, even with the shipping, tax etc. Mine went a couple of years ago and although I have bought the matrix, I still haven't got around to fitting it. I have the done the bypass that you mentoined and that will be fine until you decide to get yours fixed......just no heating in the car, which isn't so bad as we're coming into summer. You should try it in the winter! Its not funny. For the clean up, pull back the carpets, soak up as much as poss with paper towels and maybe put newspapers down overnight. I posted myself the question of 'dash in' replacement, I will try and find it for you as there was some great advice given.

    ........and 5000 bytes max. We're waiting!!! ......................
  19. And don't meet at your home address-if thats where the bike is kept.....I've heard of someone to come back and nick it after sussing where it was, garage, sideway etc. As Gavo says, only let them ride it if you have their cash in your hands.......if they are genuine it won't bother them. Have someone with you if its poss aswell. Basicly, I know its shit, but you can't be too careful.
  20. I like that one!!!! :D :D :D
  21. I would agree 100% with smw1. If you have £9k overall to spend, but one for £7k and keep the rest back for a good service, and getting it running sweet, with maybe a bit of room there for a couple of your own choice mods. Its bound to have a few niggles that the last owner didn't sort out! Oh.......and well converted! :D
  22. Ok, I couldn't help it... weather square narrow-minded people taxes no encouragement to succeed .....and something along the lines of what TT Tim mentioned.
  23. Don't get me started............I have some work I must do today! :(
  24. If you leave your foot firmly buried in the carpet, then no, you won't hear them between gear changes. Between 1st and 2nd that isn't how I change gear anyway. So I guess its my choice whether I want to hear them or not. I can lock it in 2nd and as the gearing is that much taller than a manual, I hardly get into 3rd if I'm booting it - as 2nd gear sees me to nearly 90 mph! ....I can't disagree that bov's were meant for a manual though!
  25. There's a train bridge just around the corner to me and its quite a wide one so there's quite an echo underneath it. There are traffic lights about 50 yards away.......by the time I get to go under the bridge I make sure I'm at about 20 mph and stomp the loud pedal down, it drops into first and aahhh its like music to my ears......(full stainless, cats out and only 1 small back box) just before I come back out I let off and get a 2nd chorus coming from my HKS BOV's.........its sounds so nice I'm going to video it one day! :D :D
