Who's car is this? Help please
Hiya mate. This is a site for the Z32. I don't think there are any Z31's on here. As for the bumper, try Mike at MJP, he deals in kits for the 31. http://www.mjpauto.com

Auto help.............
(First off thanks Mac for your phone roadside assistance) Was on the A3 saturday and had just had a little go at a RX7, was no means maxxing it out, when quite a bit of smoke came out of the back of the Z. Knowing my luck, first thing I think I've done is blown a turbo but it was transmission fluid leaking onto the exhaust. Pulled over straight away, looked underneath etc. Quite a bit must have come out judging by the smoke but on looking underneath there is only a drip. I check the level and thats ok, drive to a petrol garage about 2 miles away, park up, go inside and have something to eat. About 20 mins later, pull the car back to see how much has leaked out (onto the ground) and it was a tiny amount, about the size of a 10p piece. Drove it home, everything ok, changed gear fine etc, etc. I did top up the fluid a few days before and maybe overfilled it if that is of any conseqence? Any pointers? At my work there is a garage with a shallow pit, its going to to be a pita to clear it all out to get to it but I will of course to have a look underneath, just wondered if anyone had any suggestions? (Iain, you said gasket or feeder pipe?) Thanks all.

Acc. pedal removal
I fitted some pedals just the other day and I came across the same problem. While I could get the bottom nut on round the back no probs, the top one would foul on the actual bar as you said. I drilled the hole a little smaller than the first and even though the bolt isn't pointed like a self-tapper, it did manange to work a thread into the plastic and actually tighten up against itself, if you know what I mean, without the nut on the back. If you've already drilled the hole the same size as the bolt ........you're screwed. (unless you can get away with repositioning the pedal slightly) Anyway........wasn't too pleased with the fit of my brake pedal, so I'm taking mine off anyway! I'll say the holes that are left in my acc pedal are erm.........a nelson mass exercise!

Help!!!
If you can get a socket onto the rounded of bolt then use a socket that drives on the flats rather than the points, they are usually the black ones say, in a Halfords kit..impact sockets I think they are called. They've saved me a few times!

Got Keyed
The company is called D&G Crash Repairs and if you phone-ask for Dominic, he's the main man. Do me a favour and say James with the silver 300zx gave you his number. This will also set you up for the nice cash deal I mentioned earlier! Phone number is 020 8859 5354.

TPS prob's?
Hmmm, not sure about that, sorry mate. Someone else might know? Maybe it has to be reset somehow?

Interior retrim...
Yeah, quite like the NSX, what are they going for these days? The one Harvey Keitel drives off in Pulp Fiction sounds butch. "The Wolf".

TPS prob's?
You really got to poke that needle in to get a reading! Push it right in. Took me a few attempts before I pushed the needle of my meter in/down far enough.

removing wiper blades
No, they're kind of dark grey. I would've sprayed mine but one half was cracked, so went for new.

Got Keyed
Well, he's fitting and painting my 99 front. I have seen some unbelievable motors in there, thats for sure. Yeah, he would fit spoilers. My little job was done over a year ago now. If I had a whole kit to fit then I would prob make the journey to PPS -purely for his experience on Z's but have 100% confidence in this guy too.

I got my whole rear quarter panel done and he blended onto the door and it was (iirc) about £120. I'll take a photo and post it up in a bit.

Ah, shit man, sorry to hear this. Wouldn't have thought a complete respray is necassary. Where abouts in London are you? I use an EXCELLENT body shop in Sidcup. They really are good. I will go to them every time! I bought my silver Z (another hard colour to match) with a keyed rear quarter panel and they did this for me and I couldn't believe the results.
