Id definatley recommend D2 aswell. Thats where i take my Z, Darren is a top bloke and knows he's stuff and has helped me out many times. In fact its going there on the 3rd for a bit of work.

Since i got my Z at the beginning of the year i have always gone to a place called 'D2' in Rochester. Takes about 45 mins from here (Dagenham). The guys name is Darren, he owns an NA and a TT himself. He sorted out my broken speedo when i first got the car, no probs. On another occasion he changed my Cam-Belt, fixed a leak on my Auto Box and changed the oil and filter for around 350 quid. He was very helpfull, i took it in one morning. However he run into some trouble and gave us a ring at about 4 saying that he was running behind as he was having some trouble with it. We were planning to pick it up that evening, and when he rung to let us know what was happening, he was willing to work late to get it fixed. We ended up picking it up the following day. He even sorted me out with a few spares i needed here and there. It's run fine ever since, and its going back to him in December for a bit more work before going to the MOT center. Just come back from the IOW :cool: Im not sure if we have anyone hear from the IOW? But i saw 2 Z's while i was over there, one i saw on Wednesday (i think) driving through Shanklin, was Black with a round rear light conversion, had a bit of a squeek to lol. The other i see twice, first was evening time driving through Godshill, the second time was around lunchtime driving through Ryde. This was a yellow one with a tailgate skin. I must admit i'v only seen the yellow Z's in pics on here, but in person its a lovely colour, stunning Z!

As Andy said, make sure the shim kit has been fitted. When i renewed my front discs the drivers side shim fell apart, anyway i thought nothing of it. But then the same side started squeeling really badly. I put up with it for a couple of weeks. But yesturday we fitted the shim kit and took it for a spin around the block and its nice and silent again. No more embarassing noises! :nana2:

Thats terrible, such a shame for someone who had so much life ahead of them. RIP mate

Hey, I have now got the same problem (squeeking brakes). Ever since i put new pads in. Are the shims the plastic/cardboardy things that go between the back pad and the 2 pistons like a washer/spacer? Because the side that still has it on don't squeel, but the side where it disintergrated on me is now squeeling Thanks in advance Rich
