  1. Hey, Looking at refurbing my stock turbos untill i can save the pennies for something bigger. Would like to do as much of the recon myself but need to find somewhere that could balance them for me, can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers Ste
  2. Are OEM the way forward then? Had assumed from doing abit of research that these where too soft and deteriated quickly but they are easy to get hold of, which is useful. Would there be any advantage to having solid engine mounts if vibrations and noise arent't an issue. Cheers Ste

  4. Hello, I have a '90 TT that seems to have blown a hole into the water gallery on cylinder 5. Have done a compression test and found all around 10.7 but with cylinder 5 low on 9.1 bar and a pressuried radiator. I have two questions, one does it seem a reasonable diagonsis and two what are my options for a gasket set, currently considering Z1 due to exchange rates is there anywhere else closer to home that has a similar price? Any words of wisdom would be good aswell about things to remember! Cheers Ste

  6. Hey, Hope everyones enjoying the weather this weekend! I'm currently trying to remove the diff out of a donor car and can't see how to remove the drive arms to be able to drop the diff? Anyone know the trick to it? Cheers in advance Ste
  7. Hey, i have a 1996 tt manual, and its alot harder to chip that ecu than chnage it for the older 8bit version, did this with mine and the older ecu works just the same hope that helps Ste

  9. I think the prices will eventually start to rise as its a beautiful car but that wont be till the exports slow and the "shite" examples are weeded out! Unfortunatly i can't wait that long but definatley have the bug lol!

  23. Yes thecambelt was done as soon as i brought the car - 80k is about 60k miles so it was due but i like to change the belts anyway just for the peace of mind ;)
  24. would it be a good idea to put the orginal air filter box back on?
  25. Lol, yeh its a TT, can't believe i left that out! I've replaced anything that looked worn out on it like for like and new tyres all round aswell, done maybe 600-800 miles in it in total. I should be able to sell fairly quick then thats great, 5k i would be more than happy with. Cheers
