'93 should be same as a TT. A '93 zed should also have iron calipers (rather than the ally ones). Are you sure it wasn't just a case of not pushing the pistons back in far enough?

It was only the early NA's that were different. After 2/91 the NA's had exactly the same brake disc/caliper setup as the TT's.
