idling at 1500rpm when blower is on
Im sure the reason to high revs when fan is on is due to the aircon pump doing the work? but the ECON button should drop the revs back down when the fan is running which will save a bit of fuel in the end!

idling at 1500rpm when blower is on
Cant say im clued up on these zeds but could be something to do with the idle control valve? thinks its at the back of the plenum on the right next to batt? blocked or something? or maybe you can just adjust the idle some how? im sure someone on here will get to the bottom of this??

Your revs should be about 850rpm on tickover? the revs will jump up when fan is on try pressing ECON button that will drop the revs when fan is on think the high revs are something to do with aircon pump being used until you press ECON button?

I know that the three wires goto the ignition plus the 1 to the ground, theres 2 white ones the one with the brown stripes must be handbrake? the other I dont know? which comes from the key lock adapter and the grey must be the ECU wire? wherever that connect to on ECU I dont know??

Which oil?
I might change the engine oil on the zed this weekend its a 91 tt I usually use castrol magnatec and want to use something different? coz I have noisy lifters and I have read on here that the magnatec can make your lifters noisy?? I dont want to spend stupid money on oil as the cars standard apart from stainless but would like something that might ease the lifter noise? Wynns lifter treatment doesent work so hopefully different oil may help? Any advice would be great and how much oil will the engine take??? Cheers.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont have such tools!!! Theres little room to do anything but as the bolt is so soft a lump hammer and chisel may well do it? or better still I have a few nut splitters one of those should cut through bolt??
-
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its def welded in there well! I gave it a good beating good idea to cut off flat! save drilling an inch! Drilling seem the best way. Def a fiddly job not so bad with speedo out to get to the top of bolt just got to cut a hole in dash behind speedo!
-
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could possibly get an electric drill from the top behind the speedo but would need to drill through the dash to get to it which would be ok because that part of dash is behind speedo. I tried a lump hammer and screw driver with alot of force and that dident work! Not sure how much thread there is left on bolt but may well get two nuts on there if there thin enough? But then that would probably snap the bolt again?? Cheers for your help mate!

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello all was hoping to MOT the zed on thursday! But... the steering wheel moves from left to right about quarter of an inch so thought I would tighten up the bolts around steering column which I did and then 'bang' snapped one off by this time I was pretty pi**ed off!! the bolt that snapped is spot welded to some sort of metal frame, I have some pics but any advice how I can get it out?? I have tried screw driver and lump hammer but it wont move, I have the speedo out but still need room! I think the zed knows Im tempted to sell her or this damn bitch wouldent of snapped on me!!! hers some pics I just wiped pc so no paint shop but the bolt is behind the ignition barrel next to the silver V shape piece of metal!

tyre problem???
Mine started this only noticed it a few weeks ago with the inside down to the wire and looked like you used a cheese greater! so I blamed the garage that done my tracking! but that was ok when I had it checked, so changed the wheels around back to front seems as it sorted the problem!!
