  1. Hi Si, did they both go at the same time ? I have recently been having a nightmare with my lights ! John
  2. Smithy if you get stuck then i have have a set of uk clocks which i have yet to fit into my zed. Also if i have that bumper off you and meet you for it i can hand the clocks over then, or do you need them sooner ;)
  3. I will give it a try and see what happens, thanks for the input john
  4. Yeah i thought that might be the case, are the nearside bulbs fed by the power of the offside bulbs, or is it on a totally different circuit ?
  5. my zed is driving me mad  when i disconnect my nearside headlight bulbs the offside works fine, but when i connect up the passenger side all four front lights ( dip and main ) glow dimly regardless of what setting they are on ( ie dip or main ). Have checked fuse in offside footwell, have checked and swapped relays under bonnet and its still the same ! any ideas would really be appreciated
  6. haha i am so thick :slap:
  7. Shame your in bournemouth ben, im a windscreen fitter by trade ! I think the bonding has broken down due to the glass / body not being primed properly or just plain old age, get your local windscreen geezers to bond them back in for you. If they are as loose as you say they are, they should not be hard to remove safely without breaking. John
  8. i need a new main beam bulb for my zed, tried searching and it sems the H1 type bulb fits, but my old main beam bulb has three prongs where as the H1 bulbs seem to have only one ! any input would be appreciated.
  9. Just been checking the headlights on my zed prior to its mot and have noticed that the nearside main beam bulb is a lot dimmer than the offside one. Also the high beam on the nearside doesnt work.... Any ideas before i start pulling it apart ?
  10. Charge your old battery up, then whilst the car is running test it to make sure it is charging and you havnt got an alternator problem. Also if you end up buying a new one, get a good one not a cheap one. and try and get a battery with the highest amph, for better cranking power
  11. Apart from the trim issue your back window is much more easy to remove than your front. Also your front screen is laminated glass which is way more easier to break in removal than the toughened glass of your heated rear window... You will be able to remove your front screen side trims easily but your top trim is fitted the same time as the screen, so its not just a case of ripping it out and pushing it back in when you have finished. Worse case scenario if glass breaks, claim on your insurance :)
  12. Just refurbed my first split rim which had loads of bolts like yours, conventional socket wont fit but you can find some socket sets with multiple teeth design which brings them off no problem. Pm me if you need any more info, hope this helps, John
