300zx on Fifth Gear!! (just about!!)
I can't from work but if you watch the Youtube vid first and see the dragster come round he catches my rear end with his on board camera. If you pause the fifth gear vid at 3.37 you can JUST see my rear end! It's not distinguishable though!! LOL!!

They have used that clip out of sequence but yes that is deffo the best shot of the Z. Every one has there 15 seconds of fame !! Just another 14.5 to go!! Andy

300zx on Fifth Gear!! (just about!!)
I was watching the re-run of this Fridays Fifth Gear this morning and thought hang on, that car looks familiar!! It was the former Stig - Ben Collins in the Paul Marston drag car!! Then I watched it a bit more and thought hang on, that car looks familiar!! It was my Z!! Well, a reflection of it when he jumped in the queue and then a blurred shot of it for about launch! (see if you can spot it I'm behind a GTR!!) So that's who was behind me in this video - You can see Paul Marston walking down the track, The Stig in the car and then the film crew!! You have to look really hard but I'm there lol!! http://fwd.five.tv/fifth-gear/videos/features/ben-collins-drives-a-dragster

Good stuff Mate! It's a shame you won't make Jap Show Finnale! I sould be there with my manual box to see if I can beat my PB of 13.7sec. Maybe the Z1 intercoolers will help?! Hope the weather isn't like last year!!!

New seat leathers
Wow! Only just seen this! For that money you can't complain. Mine were a lot more than that!! Just a small point - I think these are based on copies of the cloth seats which is why you are having fitting issues on the front of the seat as the shape of the front section is slightly different. Any one else fitting these I would recomend you re-cover a set of cloth seats to get the best fit. Andy

adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Yes it is!! Here's a better picture. This is an aeromotive copy. Had some good reviews by the Skyline boys running big power. If your plan is to run bigger turbos and injectors later down the line, you will have a little more flexibility. Nissan (Nismo) do an adjustable one for the 300zx so there is an argument that they feel it has an application (good enough for me!!) http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=267&Car_Type=300&UID=2010092013091086.148.154.215 However, Silverbullit had one and it failed! You can get more substantial pieces of kit for similar money. Mine has been fine for about a year now and consistently keeps pressure. I've had the car on a rolling road and all seems healthy on the air/fuel ratio. Make sure you get one with a rising rate ratio of 1:1

adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Hi Nick, You can relocate an aftermarket one like I did (see my rides section). You need to set at 43psi with the vac line disconnected. Andy

Brake pedal hits the floor!
Just done the maiden voyage after doing the auto to manual conversion and i have no brakes! (It was a very short journey but it was my first clutch pedal and gear change experience in my little shortie:thumbup:!!) When I depress the brake pedal I hear a hissing sound and the pedal goes very soft. When I start the engine the softness off the clutch pedal doesn't change. Here's what I have done that may give a clue:- Used the Manual brake servo and master cylinder from breaker. Re-routed clutch/brake reservoirs using silicone (no pipe clips/clamps though) Used the reservoir valves. T'd clutch servo into Brake servo line in between one way valve and plenum. Is it a leak? Valve wrong way round? I hope it's something simple!! Anyone experienced this before?? Thanks in advance, Andy
