  1. I agree!! Just looked up all his replies too. Had me giggling for half an hour! Si is still very much on the Z scene. Calm down dear it's only a website!! It is a pain not having his input on here. Stella has said his bit about some people feeling bullied by the Funkmiester and as he's not here do defend himself (or is he?!!), I'll say this. I got his humour as did many which has me in stitches but at the same time he always gave very good advise on many Z related topics and his knowledge is very broad. I won't get going about our society in general being overly PC correct but we may have seen a similar thing happening here. I'm not saying it's right or wrong but just an obvservation. Anyway, I would like to see Si back and hope other people air their views hoping that this is a site for the members as well as the mods. After all where would the site be without the paying members? We have allowed banned members back before who are now big contributors so it's not impossible.
  2. Even if I did fancy it mate, I have no funds at the moment!! I look forward to seeing yours though.
  3. Very kind of you Daz!! unfortunately, the silver on the sub is a mid silver paint and for me, it clashes slightly with the polished ally on the strut brace and the amps. I know it may sound OTT but it's bugging me!! Yep, sound is good but I haven't fine tuned it yet and need to look at bridging the Minblock. It's hard finding the right time so as not to piss off the neighbours! I'll show it to you if you come to JAE. Flocking is something I'm not too keen on at the moment. Will need to see someone else's maybe?
  4. LOL!! Welcome back you old Git!!!! You've got your stripes now!!!
  5. Just upgraded my boot install with an additional Genesis amp and a JL 10W6. 1st thing is the silver ring round the W6. Although it's a signature feature, I'm finding it jarring on my eye. Opinions please!! Any suggestions welcome. Was thinking of spaying it satin black. 2nd thing is - any ideas on pepping up the plastic boot panels. Mine are looking a little tired with a few scratches and marks. 3rd thing - do you like my two amps side by side!! LOL!! I've always liked the finish on Genesis kit let alone the awesome sound quality. Did it all my self you know!! (which is evident on close inspection hence the poor quality photos!!) :tt2:
  6. Ooops! Sorry Mate! I have some spare mankinis. What colour do you want?
  7. Don't worry about your interior Mate, your paintwork is enough to knock most peoples socks off. It would be a travesty not to have your Z there!! BTW, start looking for a tent!!!
  8. Congrats buddy!! I'll come down!! Bring on the knob gags!!
  9. I have exactly the same problem on my nearside suspension with these arms. Not very impressed!! I know MeisterR do a similar set up to those blue ones but I cant afford them at the moment. I have had a look today and there is a little play where the thread goes in. Is this dangerous to drive? :scared:
  10. As title says there will be some of us setting off (8.30 am) from junction 3 of the M3 and heading clockwise on the M25 passing the intersection with the M4 joining the M40 then exiting at junction 10 (9.30am) just after Bicester joining the A43 via Northampton (10.30am) Aiming to get to JAE for 11.00 - 11.30am. Anyone wanting to join please post up on here. My number is 07843 425220 if you want to call as I have broken by cb radio lol!! Truckers so far:- Andy Isherwood IanL Daffy Pablito
  11. I bought a sump plug a while ago from Z1 and fitted it yesterday whilst doing and engine flush. When I dropped the second lot of oil I saw some debris on the magnet. I thought - that's cool it's obviously doing it's job. But NO! The magnet on the end of the sump plug had fowled a baffle plate inside (I assume) and half of it had disintegrated and the debris was the broken bits of the magnet its self. I'm not sure if i have all of the magnet pieces but I hope so. If not, then that means there are bits of magnet debris somewhere in my block! When I compared the length of the two sump plugs, the magnet was about 4mm longer than standard - just enough to cause the problem. If you do have a magnetic sump plug you are looking to fit then please measure it compared to the original. If it's longer, don't fit it. Andy
  12. Hi Bazz, I also have a Z1 shifter and have trouble getting from 2nd to 3rd - not good for drag racing!!!!!
  13. Nice!! Epic trip too!!
  14. Happy for ya Mate!! Did you get my pm?
  15. Good luck to Steve on this...... hope it fetches good money.
  16. Actually probably not a good idea as I can never understand your strong Welsh accent........................................ Wait for it!!!! Sounds like a good idea!!
  17. No worries mate. I'm out sat and sun from 8.30am laying turf so might struggle to post it. Let me know when you need it and I'll sort it.
  18. Hi Mate. Regarding the dip stick - from memory, you may be able to slide the dipstick tube down the front of the bulkhead with a bit of twisting. If you have the front intercooler pipes off this will also allow you to rock the engine and gear box back slightly giving you the couple of mm you'll need to get it back in. Just hang off the back of the prop feed to get max leverage. Good luck!
