  3. Hi Paul Thanks that means erm.... what??? So do I need it replaced now?or can it wait till I go to Andy's next weekend? What exactly do I need... parts like? Can a local garage do it? anti squeal shim... sounds painful

  5. Seems to be worse when my foot is not on the accelerator changes noise a little when i put my foot on the break, more noticable no noise when I'm not moving sounds like brake disc /pad rubbing , speed related (thanks Oli for that info) Andy !!!!!:(
  6. Andy is now ordering me a cambelt and assorted bits for me and a my zed is having a full service I live in Warwick and I would rather travel to Preston to get this done than go locally. I would also recommend GPS in Leigh as would a lot of other people. They go out of their way to help too. When I said better to be safe than sorry I meant safety is of prime importance, especially since i use my zed daily for the school run. I have not felt safe driving my zed for months, so where's the pleasure in that??? At the end of the day, I have tried to get my zed fixed, been very amicable and patient, I don't like having the mickey taken out of me. Honourable dealings especially on this forum are what I expect nothing more nothing less. If i can't trust the people here it is a sorry state we are all in.
  7. I recommend Andy Duff just contact him via the forum I'd rather be safe than sorry
  8. Hi Oli bloody hell yes i was !!!!! SUCCESS i was going to stratford college have you also been around warwick , emscote road, when they closed the road too??? wow we could have a mini meet lol

  18. great idea for us erm.... non technical people:o  Can we make it easy to reference in sections cos then i can read it and print it off, so i won't have to ask daft questions anymore..... So if's its not in the FAQ section free to ask a techie question still??

  20. Tim Yes i have read some of the horror stories on here .... remember I've been part of that myself:eek: I understand where you are coming from, what i need is a reliable mechanic to work on my car.... no one has offered ( yet), so what do i do? I don't feel confident doing this service myself, I need someone who can tell me what needs doing, and give my car a proper service I would rather not have to pay extortinate prices, have you got any better ideas??? , i'm ready and willing to listen
  21. nope i have grey zed and live in Warwick, which is just down road from Leek Wooton
  22. Looking to get my car serviced Definately cam belts/alternator belts need checking/replacing Give it a good once over What exactly does a proper service mean? What do i get for my money? Are there different types of service? How long, do they need my car? A day? Do they replace things like spark plugs, fuel filters etc as part of service? This is the only car I have, so not having it causing major hassle (work, kids) Please recommend a reliable and trustworthy mechanic who knows what they are doing Thanks for your support:D
